upload them to photobucket, then post them here.
Ned FlandersModeratorThe Colors are fine for me.
Ned FlandersModeratorThey all handle low tuning, you should get the wicker muff, its very cool.
Ned FlandersModeratorTo get custom PCB’s made you need to buy a few hundred to make it worth it or they are quite expensive compared to making them yourself. The advantage of custom made PCB’s is they are nice looking modern PCB’s. However, you need to draw your schematic up in eagle and provide the maker that eagle file or similar program file.
I say just read some tutorials on google and make your own, its easy and you can etch a bunch in half an hour. Drilling takes some time but its all part of the fun.
I use vintage styles copper clad so I much prefer my own PCB’s because they have “mojo”, LOL but they do.
Join DIYSTOMPBOXES.COM (send them an email after registering to the provided address for complete registration) and FREESTOMPBOXES.ORG for every schematic of every pedal thinkable, well almost!
Making PCB’s is easy so read up and learn.Ned FlandersModeratorYea, I jump all over big muff threads.LOL
Ned FlandersModeratorWell that normal thats what pots are, variable resistors.
I’d say the pot is fine, i would start looking elsewhere for a problem.
Post Hi resolution pics of the component side and then the PCB side. By hi res I mean BIG ones, and clear too.Ned FlandersModeratorQuote:I tested the pot with a multimeter today, the resistance did vary, i also did a re-solder of the loose cable….and i get the same resultsEDIT:sorry i edited your post, I was meant to quote it.
Did the resistance vary when you didn’t turn it? because if it jumps all over the place its definitely got a problem.
Ned FlandersModerator100k linear,
use this one:http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=688 choose 100k from the drop down menu.Although I really doubt its a pot, it could be but its unlikey a new pot just stops working, try it and you’l know for sure.
Ned FlandersModeratorGet the full sized POG, I’m sure that is TB.
Ned FlandersModeratorBefore you throw it out PM me and I’ll give you a few dollars for it.
Ned FlandersModeratorI’m waiting on the memory boy too, I also want a DMM.
I like how us hard core EHX fans plan to buy effects we’ve never seen nor heard.
Ned FlandersModeratorMeine Familie ist Deutsch, aber mein Deutsch ist schlecht!
Ned FlandersModeratorThe switch has its own daughter board and the way the jacks are mounted isn’t a problem, you just do it as per usual. If there’s a buffer on the Micro POG you’l have to bypass it which can be complicated and I myself don’t even know how to do it, I just know what NEEDS doing if that’s the situation.
Your best bet would be to trace the effect so you have a schematic to refer to then make the necessary changes.
Considering your the first in a long line of users to complain about the bypass it makes me question whether its a bypass issue or a setup issue.
Ned FlandersModeratorGround wire may have broken, its happened before and will likely happen again.
Ned FlandersModeratorThe SMMH isn’t true bypass nor is it buffered. You cant even notice it, it doesn’t suck at all.
