OPAMP big muffs havent been made since 1979, all current big muffs are NPN and use BC550C or 2N5088 transistors.

But Ron, it takes the 1/8” jack style not the 2.1mm boss style.

Thats not actually true, once the outside of the jack screws out the PCB is free to move around as it sees fit. You could easily fix this by taking the back off and realigning the PCB then screwing the part in, simple.
I can guarantee you it wouldn’t have left the EHX factory in NYC like this thats for sure!

Modding it to green russian wont remove the boomyness and wont actually do much of anything, for that you need to swap two caps out.

Ya see on the above diagram the two .047uF caps? (marked in white) well, take them out and put in 1uF box caps, not electrolytics.

This will remove ALL boomyness.
