Ned FlandersModerator
Its pretty normal, mine does it, others do it too.
There is a mod you can do to it to stop it I think but I don’t know about the mod details.I wouldn’t worry about it.
DMM’s do it too.
Ned FlandersModeratorAll my big muff and other pedal mods links are updated and working! (Sorry it took so long)
Ned FlandersModeratorCool, I have a green one lined up myself that I may(or may not) buy.
Ned FlandersModeratorIts true about the Oz music gear distributors though, they are greedy fuckers. So are the UK ones!
I’ve seen EHX pedals like a memory man for like AU$1,200 or some shit. That is RIDICULOUS in anyones mind! Before I had the www I bought a sansamp classic from a local store, it cost AU$700 (with NO adapter!) then when I got the www I saw i can get them from Japan for AU$200 2nd hand in new condition!
I buy guitars?(sometimes) and amps(always) locally but never effects and if I was forced into it and couldn’t get around it I would never buy new effects again.
(aside from ebay)Ned FlandersModeratorI think you can still by EHX pedals from the US though as stores I buy from seem to have no notification about it like they do about other brands.
I wont mention the stores in particular though.Ned FlandersModeratorI’m an Ozzie too and I only own UK one that came with the pedals. I own a few AU ones I’ve bought here but they aren’t EHX brand.
If EHX ever stops US stores selling to AU I will boycott EHX and never buy EHX pedals again because the mark up on EHX in AU is fucking ridiculous and I’d rather go without!!!!!!!!!
Some companies wont let US stores ship outside the US.
If that ever did happen i spose rather than boycott em i could get US friends I know on the www to buy it for me and ship it.
There’s ways around everything in life but it would be bad form on EHX if they ever did do it!!!
Also for about 10 bucks cheap as chips sells 9V 1500mA reversable polarity supplies, 1500mA is plenty to safely power the 2880. It also comes with a shit load of differnt types of tips for different electronics. You can switch it from 4 to 12 volts too. I have a few of them, they are great!
Ned FlandersModeratorLOL at Hanukkah.
Ned FlandersModeratorAnd even though its over, happy Hanukkah too!
Ned FlandersModeratorI hate rohs effects as the solder is lead free and takes more heat to melt. Not to mention it can cause other problems in electronics.
Ned FlandersModeratorNo not really but I’m sure Ron may have.
Ned FlandersModeratorYou use the positions that sound best to you!
Ned FlandersModeratorYou don’t need 9 lugs for TB, you only need 5. Or 6 with grounded input providing you dont have an LED.
I highly recommend grounding the input or it will likely oscillate very badly in TB mode when the color switch is up.
You can use the DPDT switch you have to do this.
All them TB diagrams above posted are inferior to the grounded input method and wont be much good for a smallstone.
Wire the switch like this, it covers the standard NON LED and LED versions:

Ned FlandersModeratorI like earth, I been listening to ’em since extra capsular extraction.
