ive recently taken out the ac2, the russian muff (aw!) the space echo, the tr2 (trem is my favorite effect but the Dunlop TVP treadle wah, is a different beast altogether, but i have a old skool pulsar laying about and i ride the knobs so to speak when recording because it just dahmmed well sounds better.. but for doing it live its a no brainer.) i switched out the od3 with the arion you see in the pic. just didnt like the assymectrical gain.. i’m awaiting a ts9dx to come in the post as the bass response made it a no brainer on 4 strings.. i took out the small stone the volume drop is CRAZY BAD.
and igot danelectro black paisley, sitar swami, dano coolcatchorus 18v one, syb5, alesis bass multifx (because the bitcrusher and decimator are from the bitrman!) ibanez sb7. in the chain.. man this is an old pic. i shall retake a new one tonight.
so are they gonna listen to us or are we gonna have to ask someone else to make it?
BUMP FOR TEHZ ULTIMATZ JUSTICE!
i told my guitarist about it he wants a freezer and id love a drone
so thats two people.. i think we need to tell them the market for this… think about all the ps3/5 and whammy owners who thought WTF about the hog but couldnt justify it.. all these people would kill for a freezer
i dont think its unreasonable to suggest that both these pedals could be one ala the worm?
Well i use BC Rich’s 4 string beast Bass- 5 String Warlock
daisyrockheartbreaker 4. a T-bird goffick and a jazz but then what else are you gonna play reggae on?/put flatwounds on?
Well i dunno there are somethings you just cant do for with analog example.. my guitarist has the Boss twin space echo and the rt 20 leslie sim .. you just cant do that with analog.. tapes are impractical and a lesie is pretty heavy.. and the uni vibe is just vibrato with trem and chorus/phase so not even really a lesie simulation.. ect..
I just did some major downsizing and thinking and such, and now I have narrowed my pedal selection considerably. I only use a wah, fuzz, and maybe a phaser just for kicks, and that’s about it. The shorter your signal chain, the better your tone is going to be. Less pedals = more tone; that tone should come from your guitar and amp mainly, so BlueSteel, if I were you, I would go for a new guitar rather than more effects.
i know this is an EHX forum but i have no problem admitting that there are several Boss pedals which I like more than their EHX counterparts.
by saying you’ll never buy a Boss product you are ruling out many great/classic pedals for no real reason.
I gotta agree, I think Boss (and others, MXR, Ibanez, DOD, etc) have made some great pedals over the years and I think the good thing is in most cases they are different enough to offer a genuine choice to people. (not just price and what the casing looks like)
….anyway no one has ever made a pedal as great as the DOD punkifier, that pedal is a total car
crash and I love it!! (I know this is an extreme minority view on any forum!!!)
you smacked it..
i love the ibanez black noise Distortion ESPECIALLY into a randall warhead feedback
for days.. so i see where you mean with the minority vote!
MXR phase, Ibanez TS9, DOD envelope filter, all ledge shizzle..
i proper prefer the old DOD ice box chorus.. instead of the small clone..
The ole nine volt version! my uncle gave it to me when he gave up his session work.. makes me happy! gotta say a fl9 is not by anymeans a replacement tho the dano triple flange is almost as nice (blasphemy i know)
Im looking forward to getting this newfangled tone wicker as when i got my first NYC Big Muff ( i cry thinking about how beautiful it was rip) i was rather disapointed to hear that my mates cheaper russian one was somewhat more filthy.. so methinks this is a long awaited update!.. and gets a groove on with things, you dig??
almost wish.. wish i hadnt have got Freq analyser + bass muff first…
