^^ yes i agree with this chain completely!
Mr.GrimMemberi was going to recommend a “Les Trem”… but it seems Stewart MacDonald has discontinued them, but they do show up on Ebay once in a while.
its a add on trem for stop bar type guitars that require no modding what so ever!!
here is a guitar with one on it!
February 1, 2011 at 3:27 am in reply to: Where to put phaser in chain? Which of these are true bypass? #114079Mr.GrimMemberi place my phaser (V1 small stone) right after my dirt pedals (OD distortion ect) and it sounds awsome, but thats all personal preference..
to clean up my signal chain, i use a BBE Sonic Stomp at the end of my chain, i must say ill never play without one agean, and you can get them at a fare price, i got mine used on Ebay for about $40.
i also use a tube Black finger compressor (on always) at the beginning of my chain, it really helps drive the signal, it has a lot of power/gain of its own!! even if you set the compression low, its like a preamp.

January 29, 2011 at 3:16 am in reply to: Uk to Eu Adapter and Expression pedal with Worm XO!! #114042Mr.GrimMemberi have and use the m-audio ep-1 i think its called, i admit i didn’t want it at first because its plastic, but it is actualy very sturdy! and its cheap and works with everything that i can find (definitely anything EHX, they actualy include it with sum of there larger models)
it has a pot on the side to adjust the range, and a switch on the bottom to turn it into a different type to work with other pedals.
i also use a couple of different personal made expression pedals.
i haven’t found much use for the expression on the other modes, just the wah setting really, it works well with it, but otherwise like i sed the phaser, vib, and trem, modes i dont realy use it for that.
January 28, 2011 at 3:19 pm in reply to: Uk to Eu Adapter and Expression pedal with Worm XO!! #114035Mr.GrimMemberi also have the XO worm, and it is great as an auto wah, but the other modes do lack depth as you mentioned, you need to think of them as extra throw ins. it wasn’t made to be the best phaser, vibro, trem. thats how its made, they make other pedals dedicated to be the best at those effects.
Mr.GrimMemberit is against site policy to sell things threw this forum, the only thing they will allow, is a link to an ebay auction, or sum thing like that, you cant sell directly threw here or ask for offers.
EHX does not want to be held responsible for a bad deal or get a bad rap from one.
Mr.GrimMemberi love filters myself!!
and unfortunately i cant help you out on a choice, all you listed are great pedals!
but i would add two more to that list….WMD Super Fatman…..super cool and versatile unit! (but expensive!!)
and also, it may be a one trick pony, but one of my favorites is the EH Bassballs, it sounds wicked on guitar, i actualy have to force myself to not use it so much!
also the new EH talking machine looks interesting! apparently it can also do the bassballs sound.
Mr.GrimMemberof the list you gave us, i would go for the English Muff’in!
Mr.GrimMemberi dont currently run a stereo pedal board, but you can do what i do when it is….
get a mini pedal size mixer that will fit on your board, i have an EHX one, and there are good other brands out there as well, like Mackie, and Bearinger.
run your pedal board normal like you all ready probably have it, but take all the second outputs run directly to the mixer instead of the next pedal, and mix them with the one main mono signal at the end with the mixer!
January 19, 2011 at 4:12 am in reply to: quick easy diy expression footswitch for holy stain harmonies #113900Mr.GrimMember^so do you, we deff need to keep in touch, but unfortunately at this time i do not have a site, im lazy internet wise, and im horrible at and hate HTML!….lol
i definitely need to get sum thing going at sum point, i usually just sell my stuff on Ebay for now, here is a link to my facebook page, there is a couple pics of projects i built on there, i have many more i need to post pics of on there, and my pedal board and guitars i built.

January 17, 2011 at 3:20 am in reply to: Electro-Harmonix unveils at NAMM 2011- visit us at Booth# 5396 #113845Mr.GrimMember^^^ true astrozombie, and i agree with everyone on the quality of his vids, but unfortunately hes the only one do as many comparison vids as he does, despite weather they could be better or not, plus im sure he has limited funds as most of us, he gets requests to do different pedal demos all the time, so hes always buying new pedals, and probably hasn’t got around to saving enuf money for another amp and guitar, i keep doing the same thing myself dammit!
January 16, 2011 at 7:34 pm in reply to: quick easy diy expression footswitch for holy stain harmonies #113825Mr.GrimMemberhaven’t heard of the tonefactor (there a store not a brand anyway right?!?!, i shop with them) one, you got a name and/or link?!?!
January 16, 2011 at 6:08 pm in reply to: quick easy diy expression footswitch for holy stain harmonies #113820Mr.GrimMemberwow i guess great minds think alike!
below i will attach a pic of my version, its essentially the same thing but i also have a toggle switch to turn from footswitch/knob control, to optical expression control.
also the internal trim idea is not bad but i just used small knobs on the back of the pedal instead, that way i can still adjust on the fly if i want, but there out of the way.
ive been recently calling mine “the Worm Tail” because i use it with the newer EH Worm pedal. i use the optical setting to turn the work into a manual wah, and the footswitch/knob option (same as you) i also use in the wah setting but that way i can select threw three different filtered tones, it works great for that, i hear a lot of people wanting a more flexible filter matrix type thing, its a very cheap substitute!
it also works nice on the phaser setting, i can select different ranges on the go.
i always wondered how this thing would work out for other pedals!, i love your vid of it with the Holy Stain, i didn’t know it had a pitch option!
side note, i checked out your I Heart blog site, nice stuff, ill have to check out sum of your bands material sum time, and i can wait to see your secret guitar project!
speaking of your world location, do you or anyone els in this forum watch “Burnistoun”? im in the US and its hard for me to find (mostly youtube vids, cant wait for a DVD!). i F’n love that show great stuff!! i been watching a lot of Scottish comedy shows lately! (yes i know your from Ireland, not Scotland, but i thought you still may have seen it)
