Mr.GrimMember
funny i was going to suggest the mini mixer, but you all ready beat me too it, i own 2 of them there useful little tools, i use them under my pedal boards to blend signal chains before sending to amp.
Mr.GrimMemberif your looking for sum thing just as good as like a “Pedal Train” brand board, but more affordable…
try “LYT pedalboards” they sell on ebay (just search them. there a decent price, and i have 2 of them (and 3 others of other brand and home built mega sized one lol)
for what you get there more affordable than large name ones, very durable, multi levels on them (easier access to rear pedals/and under space for power supply) and come with a hard flight case (or gig bag optional)
check them out on Ebay (just search the name)
i do not work for them at all, i just use sum of there products and recommend.
Mr.GrimMemberplate voltage im not sure…..
but swapping the type of tubes you listed can be done without a problem, but it will sound a bit different, so try sum different ones out!
March 18, 2011 at 2:56 am in reply to: Electro-Harmonix Effectology, Vol.21 “Turn you guitar into a string synth and tin whistle.” #114700Mr.GrimMemberi love worldly ethnic sounds, i just love that flute sound, reminds me of a medieval or fantasy movie, i may have enjoyed growing up!
Mr.GrimMemberthey state those comments in the manual and here online, because they dont want sum moron putting the wrong polarity or voltage adapter into there pedal and frying it, or to much/to little MA. much like a car dealer telling you to come back for all the tune ups or oil changes, but like sum people with cars if you know what your doing, your fine.
your SKB board with power will be fine to power your holy grail!
Mr.GrimMemberby vox do you mean sum type of organ or keyboard? (if not then what? you have guitar listed) if so, you should be good, the key player can make up for the low notes, i have seen many bands with a key player and no bass.
Mr.GrimMembersweet thanks for the info fantomenos, ill be on the look out for one, as of now i only seen one on ebay, and it seemed to be a stand up mockery version, it had acoustic looks to it (f-holes threw the body, and stand up or nylon style head)
ill keep looking for one like yours (but with frets)
Mr.GrimMemberi think its a Boss RC-50..
but screw that….whats that black bass standing behind him?!?!?! it looks sick!!!
Mr.GrimMemberjust look on ebay for any pedal from EH with the same case, and buy a cheap broken pedal, to take the back off of, there all the same, your best bet would be to buy an old switch blade channel switcher, they should be the cheapest, and you wont feel bad about having another half pedal around.
i just did a quick search on ebay and unfortunately at the moment there’s only one vintage switchblade listed, and there asking $79.00 for it, thats BS i have 2 of them and never payed more than $20 for them, just keep on looking.
Mr.GrimMemberseeing the title i wasn’t thrilled, but sum how you made Gaga and Spears listenable!
love it and im going to subscribe as well!
Mr.GrimMemberwell i use a V1 Small Stone and it has the same volume issue, and i dont want to mod my pedal..
so i use one of those bypass loopers to turn mine on, and in the loop i keep a LPB-1 set just enuf to make up for the volume drop, so when i turn on the one switch from the looper everything sounds sweet!
Mr.GrimMemberyeah i own a pedal called “angular velocity” from a company called “guitar Fuel” supposedly based in NJ, but its obviously a relabeled biyang type pedal as well and also says custom whatever on it.
i do like it tho! they call it a “florus” its a chorus and flanger together, nice sound actualy!
Mr.GrimMember“a lot more headroom and probably more bottom end” sounds great to me!
thats what i assumed, the KT88’s can handle more power so the will probably run a little cool.
im not worried about ruining the tubes, i already ordered my 12ax7’s and i ordered both the 6L6’s and KT88’s, so if the 88’s dont sound right or get ruined, im not worried about it.
so it shouldn’t hurt my amp to run tubes that run a little cool right? im just not using the tubes to there potential?!?! (but it would hurt the other way around tho, if i were to run lower powered tubes in a more powerful amp, but im not doing that anyway)
any other feedback please?!?!?!
Mr.GrimMemberi dont care if i only payed $100 for a crap guitar, …..i always install strap locks!
there a very wise investment! :thumb:
Mr.GrimMemberwhat about a sturdy sheet music stand?? maybe add Velcro to help support it?!?!
the old school heavy solid black ones, not the folding silver ones now a days.
