Mr.GrimMember
oohhhh!!!….whats the story on that reverse graffics muff, thats the first time ive seen one, it looks really sweet! Angle Loss?
Mr.GrimMembernow that were all ready talking about the Full Double Tracking Pedal, i all ways wanted to know how different it was from the Slap Back Echo pedal pictured below?
Mr.GrimMemberyes i also have referred many people to Ron, 2 i know for sure actualy went to him tho, not sure of the others.
Mr.GrimMemberyeah ive never had that problem and i use a power adapter, i do notice a slight volume boost tho. witch is odd, because im used to getting a volume drop from sum effects.
Mr.GrimMemberexactly! sum where in these forums people were suggesting reissues and or pedals they would like to see conceived. and i came up with basicly the same idea, only i used the SMMH as a reference, but same result. and eq with all the bells and whistles and the ability to store different presets so you can switch from one tone to another on the fly!
January 6, 2010 at 6:43 pm in reply to: Interesting ebay auctions and listings on other sites. #106147Mr.GrimMemberwow i didn’t even notice that until you sed sum thing! the output is miss spelled lol
Mr.GrimMemberwow thats odd fenriz033, personally i use Ernie Ball Power Slinky 11’s loyaly, i think there great! and i spent a lot of time comparing different brands and gauges. but then agean we all have our own opinions, but hay at least we share a love for the ICEMAN!
Mr.GrimMemberim sorry i failed to see that you all ready tried to use sum thing of the sort all ready. but i as well was getting to loud of a punchy sound in sum cases, it turned out my compressor input or output gain was set to high, try adjusting that, and if you cant get a even level of effect on and off, try using a channel or A/B switching box (like the switch blade) and the use of a line booster (like the LPB-1) and switch between q-tron with compressor, and the other channel being strait signal with the booster, to bring it up to the same level as the effected signal.
q-tron–compressor
/
instrument–switchblade amp/ect…
/
booster (LPB-1)—(damn word wrap keeps messing up my diagram but hopefully you get what im trying to say)
Mr.GrimMemberi cant say i am in your situation, i play guitar and bass. but i would have to try to suggest a compressor in your setup somewhere. it should definitely level out your situation.
i use envelope filters and similar effects on my guitar and bass and they definitely effect the line level, i all ways use a compressor after those effects to level everything out. (tube black finger, in my case)
Mr.GrimMemberdont give up all faith in there quality control, i know they test every single unit that ships out from them, not every 5th or every other, but every single unit gets plugged in and played for a moment. :rawk:
but i can understand your frustration, still, go ahead and send it in , they are real good at fixing the few problems that do arise, and you will have it back fairly soon.
it being a tube unit, they are more fragile, so it may have been the shipping and handling during distribution or a warehouse that may have knocked sum thing wrong with the unit. :freak:
i myself have been fortunet to have all new units of there’s work fine for me, i just had a couple problems with a couple vintage units that seem like i saved from an abusive home (lol) to be a bit faulty from ruff situations, or old age. 😥
but with my own know how, i have been able to recuperate them to full working order. in a couple situations, i was at a loss as what to do, but we have many good friends here within these forums that share the same passion, and are all ways helpful when in need.
