i dont know anything about the insides of this pedal, but when i have a volume cut with a pedal i use an lpb-1 booster every time with the problem pedal, and with a pedal with a volume boost i would use a volume attenuator with the pedal, and use sum type of switching pedal like the switchblade or a bypass loop pedal so you can turn on both pedals at once!

i sell a volume pedal (w/ optional optical control) and a true bypass looper (w/ feedback option), but you could easily make one yourself as well!

i dont intend to “advertise”, im only sharing ideas, its a simple project, really just a pot and two jacks, power is only needed if you want to have an LED indicator. although in mine i added a toggle switch to go from knob control to optical control like an expression pedal.

i do think this all sounds like a great idea, and i would buy one because it says Electro Harminix on it, but i doubt it would get used much on my pedal board, because i do own all 3 boosters, but there never near each other on my board, there all needed seperatly for different reasons in different places.

yeah its the nature of the switch, i would say theres nothing you can do, thats just how it is, its a mechanism, there will me expected noise, like all simple mechanisms locking a door, turning on a light…ect..

    ether way could be done.

traditionally in the past it had been done with a toggle switch to change the components inside to be used as ether of the 3 boosters ,its really just swapping out one or two components, to make it one of the other boosters, so putting them all into the unit and switching to the right one. (a dial type switch could be used like sum EHX pedals if wanted, theirs no difference)

or like you mentioned would work too, have three separate footswitches, inside it would basicy be the same as mentioned before, or it could be as simple as taking three circuit boards and rehousing them into one box.

hmm…im not a pro or anything but have you tried any trouble shooting, like swap out different tubes, or placement of the unit in the signal chain? or maybe try hooking the unit up to other equipment all together like an instrument and a amp instead of your PC? to see if its a faulty unit your working with, or maybe the unit just doesn’t like working the way your trying to use it?

as eh-man sed it is simple to build or mod a booster into what you mentioned, i myself have made a lpb clone with a switch to go into all three boosters (never thought of a 4way to make it an volume attenuator)

speaking of it, here is my version of a volume attenuator:

i always try to include sumt hing a little extra in the units i make, check out the other ones i have too, im not trying to advertise, just sharing ideas and proud of my own.

my double muff has been relocated. for a while i thought mine was faulty or just real noise by nature, and just last week i tried to figure out the issue, i tried different power sources, positions ect. i found out that my issue was that it did not like to be placed after my black finger tube compressor! it drives the signal a bit and gives the unit a loud hissing noise. so i placed it before my compressor and now theres no issues. i moved it around and tried many combination, it seems to just not get along well with the black finger.

i was going to make a post about this, maybe in the review section for other users having the same issues.
