Mr.GrimMember
wow you need to relax, not everyone is perfect! i own about 30 EHX pedals and i dont have a single issue with any of mine! based on your rant, you dont sound very “professional” and if you dont like wasting your money like the rest of us, do extensive research before you go buying something you know nothing about, like read up on anything on the unit here in these forums, or watch half a dozen Youtube vids first!
this unit is a reissue of a classic pedal, and nothing was perfect back then, but thats also why a lot of people like older or reissue pedals, because weather there perfect or not, there unique and have character that sets them apart from the rest. the only significant change they made to the reissue was make it stereo.
Mr.GrimMemberi dont see why? i have a zoom drum machine and once in a while when i need sum thing quick just to test sum thing i use its power cord on my pedals, ive never had a problem.
June 10, 2010 at 6:52 am in reply to: Quick: Does the 1970’s 18V Electric Mistress take a 2.1mm connector? #102279Mr.GrimMemberi may be wrong but im guessing that it ether has the 1/8 phono plug like a headphone cord, or none at all just dual 9v batteries.
ether way if you want it get it! there’s always a way to adapt it to work in your area.
Mr.GrimMemberyes for exce3sive noise i would get a noise gate, unfortunately the last one EH made is long out of production and wasn’t that good IMO (“The Silencer” i still own 2 of them)
i would also recommend the ISP decimator, it seems to be the best you can get these days.
the hum debugger is only for removing cycle hum from single coil pickups, the slight noise that you dont get with humbuckers, because they cancel the noise out themselves.
June 7, 2010 at 7:47 pm in reply to: New Devices: Germanium^4 Big Muff &, .44 Magnum, Freeze, Neo Clone, & Headphone Amp #102585Mr.GrimMemberwell i dont know about the recording output, but as sum one els stated before….whats wrong with using two of the 22 cal’s for stereo? there cheap enuf for a decent amp to buy 2, plus if they upgraded it, it would cost twice as much anyway.
June 7, 2010 at 5:25 pm in reply to: Can the frequency pots be adjusted in the Nano Bassballs? #102634Mr.GrimMemberi agree with EH-MAN, and anyone should, he is the master!
but i would also like to add that, many people feel those trim pots should have been surface mount pots to begin with, and there are many online mod’s for that unit to make it a 3 knob controlled unit from the outside, basically just replacing the internal trim’s with external pots.
Mr.GrimMemberwell because you mention that the hum is gone when you use both single coils, i also asume its your pickups, so my guess and recommendations are the same as yours, try a hum debugger.
also during your next string change i would shield the hell out of your guitar, use copper or foil tape, there’s also a shielding paint that i have used in the past that works great!
also you may want to try your setup in another location, there may be sum thing in the room your in contributing to the noise, like florescent lighting for one example, there’s many others.

June 4, 2010 at 4:57 am in reply to: Does EHX make a gate type pedal that can completely cut off a signal if it surpasses a certain volume threshold? #106808Mr.GrimMemberan EHX equivalent to the FX30B is a pedal they made that is long out of production called The Silencer, i own 2 of them, but unfortunately i agree that i dont think its what your looking for, it would more likely do the opposite.
Mr.GrimMemberooohhhh…..please anyone els have any info at all on this tuner from EH?!?!?!?!?!?!
June 3, 2010 at 5:19 pm in reply to: New Devices: Germanium^4 Big Muff &, .44 Magnum, Freeze, Neo Clone, & Headphone Amp #102762Mr.GrimMemberIve got a hard on for the germanium 4 BMP and im also excited to see the 44 mag BUT i am a bit disappointed, i was hoping it would be tube based and in a english muffin type box.
