Mr.GrimMember
i have many pedals and use 3 1spot chains for most of them, i don’t see any problems for you if you were to use the 1spot to power that chain at all.
the only issue that i have herd of was with the SMMH, sum people get undesired results when combining it on a chain with other pedals, but personally i never had an issue, so if you were to decide and try it, it wont hurt, you will just have to see if it works out or not.

Mr.GrimMemberi would suggest for funk a EHX Worm!
i have one and its great!, the modulated wah is great for that 70’s funk sound and you can hook up a expression pedal to use it as a normal wah.
plus it also as a bonus has, tremolo, vibrato and phaser modes, although i would say the modulated wah is its strength, and the others are throw ins, there good, but not the best, for example if your looking for a dedicated phaser, i would go with a small or nano stone, or other pedal, but its there when and if you need it.

these demos show the old model, but the new one is pretty much the same, but the new one is way smaller and has the expression pedal option.

this demo, is from me, it shows it using an expression pedal.
Mr.GrimMemberwell i got the one i won on the contest here and on my scale it says around 2LBS. unloaded as it came with Velcro strips inside.
Mr.GrimMemberdid you look threw the rest of the pedal, especially around the jacks, for any broken connections?
Mr.GrimMembersounds to me like a possible grounding problem. check your connections in your pedal, especially near the power jack, and also give the power supply a good look, make sure there’s no, kinks, cuts, or splits or any other defects in the wire or end.
Mr.GrimMemberi have the Russian bassballs as well and i also use daisy chains where i can, and for sum reason i couldn’t get mine to work with my 1Spot chain system. i used the 3.5 phono plug adapter, and i also tried the reverse polarity adapter before that and still nothing (yes the wires inside are connected correctly)
the only way i got it to work on my daisy chain was to use the battery snap adapter, and have it hang out the bottom of the battery door. (just keep the door in a safe place, so you dont lose it! and tape the wires down to the box somewhere or you could pull the wires out!)
Mr.GrimMemberlook up the other forum topics about whats going to be out at the NAMM show, this is a new item about to be announced at the show.
Mr.GrimMemberyou can never plug any other amp into another amp like your saying, you will always fry them.
and these are not “pedal amps” there looks are deceiving, there regular true amps, that just happen to be in a pedal like enclosure.
Mr.GrimMemberELECTRIC WIZARD!! i was just introduced to this great black sabbath like band this morning by a post on my facebook wall stating that “tone factor likes electric wizard” so i checked them out, and i love it all, the music, the retro artwork, its all great!
June 10, 2010 at 10:48 pm in reply to: Quick: Does the 1970’s 18V Electric Mistress take a 2.1mm connector? #101497Mr.GrimMemberthe modern one your used to with the center pin (2.1mm) is the modern standard, they became popular do to the mass manufacturing of pedals coming out of japan that used them.
before the mass Japan manufacturing, the mono phono plug was the U.S. standard when building there pedals and other audio equipment for years. they more recently dropped the use of this adapter to make it more convenient to all and go with the now Boss style jack. sum of EH’s pedals still use the old style plug, for example the Small Clone.

Mr.GrimMemberyeah my Double Muff needs to be before my Black Finger or it will sound like a record player hissing, even with no playing threw it.
Mr.GrimMemberim just saying you wouldn’t be here ranting if you did more homework for yourself before you buy, there’s nothing in life i buy without knowing its right for me, that how i dont wast my money.
and no i dont “suck up” to EHX i own many many pedals from many many makers. im just saying i do have plenty from EHX and i have no issues with the ones i have………..and for that matter then….yes i do love EHX, but not for any random reason, because they worked out well for me so far, im sorry for your bad experience. no i dont own the stereo clone theory myself, otherwise i may have the same issues, but you cant judge all of a company’s products one one bad item.
you say your a professional musician, what if sum one went to a performance, and you slipped on a chord, forgot a line, or sum thing went wrong that wasn’t in your own hands, like the sound man or lighting? would it be fare to judge and or boycott you on one single bad experience?
i understand your frustration, i just think boycotting a whole company because of one bad item is going a bit far, get over it, and sell it for your money back, there are plenty of people out there who will take it off your hands for a reasonable price. no you wont make all your money back, especially your shipping costs from the exchange, that was your own mistake for not looking into what you were getting into in the first place, and 2nd because he sed they were noisy units to begin with and you still exchanged for another one.
Ive had plenty of bad, or horrible pedal buys in the past, we learn from our mistakes and make sure it don’t happen again, at the most go online weather its here or harmony central or whatever and give the specific pedal a bad review for others, instead of posting multiple pages trying to bring the whole company down, that just sounds like a childish temper tantrum.
and it wont get anywhere, because even the die hard fans i found here can admit that EHX is not perfect at everything, and no one is, but what they have done right has helped shape music history for over 40 years, tell all the great musicians from history (a fraction of them listed here: https://www.ehx.com/about/artists) that they were wrong, and tell me they wouldn’t be the same without EHX, your ranting will only brighten peoples day with a chuckle.
im done, no one will hear from me on this subject again, despite any immature personal attacks.
but anyone els reading this agree? other than the person who posted the topic? let me know if im wrong im not stubborn like sum people, if not maybe it will enlighten our friend here.Mr.GrimMemberdo you know if your MB works with other power cords? hopefully nothing is wrong with the power jack on your unit.
