Mr.GrimMember
yeah i did enjoy that!
Mr.GrimMemberi think great condition ones that work fine can go for as much as $300.
i also got a great score on my V1 Small Stone, i got it for $20! on eBay, because they sed it wasn’t working correctly (sum times works sometime don’t), but i knew whatever the issue i could fix it, and it turned out to just be a bad footswitch! i happen to have an extra original Carling type replacement laying around (being that i build my own and repair others) and it worked great!
i don’t have a popping issue when turned on/off much, maybe just the first time you use it that session (i just turn it on and of one or two ties before i actualy use it) plus you could add a capacitor to eliminate that.
the only issue i have with it really is the major volume drop, i fix that without modding by putting it into a true bypass loop switch with a booster like the LPB-1, or you could use a channel switcher like the switch blade, and have one channel bypass the effect and the other run into a booster then the Small Stone, then combine the signals back together at the end.

July 16, 2010 at 5:15 pm in reply to: Help using a 1 spot and Damage from wrong polarity question #110291Mr.GrimMemberyeah what they sed! the 1/4 phono adapters for the 1Spot should convert the polarity on there own, i use them allot. but also the comment on “dont mix digital and analog pedals on a power chain depends on your settup. i have a huge chain on my 3 1Spots, and my SMMH has no issues being involed, so i guess its trial and error, but most of the time that comment is true.
Mr.GrimMemberyeah i have the full version of the metal muff with top boost, and i use it with no problems at all, pedal shows center negative like the 1Spot
Mr.GrimMemberto both of you: i dont see any reason why the Brick shouldent work for the effect unit, so perhaps its a problem with your power jack, and i have and use 3 1Spot adapters on my board and i never have an issue with my Metal Muff, it should be the same polarity.
Mr.GrimMemberim sure its a disighn change, the original photos that they use for advertising dont match newer changes, i own a number of the new pedals now, and all of them with a small switch like yours do not have the nut on them. i assume they felt it was obsolete, its hard wired to a board internally and the hole itself keeps it from moving to far for up and down or side to side movement.
Mr.GrimMemberit looks the same but the “value” may be different. value as in 100K 250K 1M ect….not price.
Mr.GrimMemberwhat do you have on your board, and whats the chain order?
Mr.GrimMembero and a nother sweet funtion i forgot to mention is that every effect has a button that will make each one only effect the high mid or low frequency of the signal! and you can choose just one or two of the three frequencies to effect at a time! for example if your playing a rythm of chords mostly low notes, but if you choose it to effect the high frequencies for the trem, when you do strum it, the high strings will trail off in a tremolo throb, while the low notes remain normal!
i think the trem was my favorite part of the rack unit, its very versitile, and you can set it to sound like a kill switch and have your chords cut n and off very dramaticly! like the chopper pedal from gig-fx
Mr.GrimMemberim not a fan of rack gear ether, but this was nice!
Mr.GrimMemberElectrix Mo-FX is a rack unit that has delay, vibrato, flange and a light OD. there all seperated like they were individual pedals.
you can get a footswitch for it, and it has midi! the best part…..you can tap in tempos for all the effects and sync them all together!!
its an awsome sounding unit, but they dont make them anymore, but you can get them on ebay for $75-$200
i actualy scored a mint one about a month ago for $20! then sold it for $200
Mr.GrimMemberi think there a great help, and improves signal tone, im saving up for a Carl Martin Octaswitch
Mr.GrimMemberi live in Lockport NY, its right between Niagara Falls and Buffalo, 10-20 minutes ether way.
