Geez…a month later and still no replies?
Anyone????
mobkonMemberQuote:I would use either some silicone or hot glue. Definitely not super glue. You may also need to touch up the solder connections on the pot.Any kind of specific silicon? That will probably be what I’ll use since I don’t have a hot glue gun.
mobkonMemberRealized what the issue is. The pot has come un-glued from the board and is causing the connections to be lose. Therefor, when the pot knob is fasted to the case, jiggling the cable moves the board a bit and makes those connections.
SO, what I need to do is re-attach the pot to the board. What’s the soft clear glue thats used? What else can I use? Will super glue work?
Thanks!
mobkonMemberQuote:yeah you need to remove the board to get to all the solder on the other side.BUT…be very very careful! in order to remove the board you need to remove the knob and unscrew the pot on the front of the unit. unfortunately these new knobs are pressed on and not ment to be removed, there for, many people carelessly trying to remove the havem also broken the pot as well!!!
Thanks for the tip. Though I’ve removed the board a few times already to inspect it for the problem. I’ll remove it again tonight when I get home and look at the solder joints.
If thats not it, is there a place to buy a replacement part?
