    Thanks for the reply, yeah i think it’s the design of the valves, that you just can’t really see the glow, the sound is fantastic so all seems to be well!

    I love these EH12AX7 valves they give even more distortion and tonal character, not that the original valves were bad, but these make the unit sound even better!

    Muffin definitely, a lot of the other pedals you mention are cool too but the muffin is the best IMO!

    Yes i agree with the poster, the muffin is the best distortion pedal i’ve ever heard, inspires you to play better the tone is so good. I replaced the valves/tubes with EH12AX7’s and that yields even better distortion and more tone. A good idea for anyone wanting even better tone and more output from the muffin, as if you needed it eh!
