I asked customer service and got a very swift answer. Great service, but I’m rather disappointed in the answer. Seems to me, that the “take away the hum but leaves the tone” from the on-line informational material sounds a bit hollow – at least for bass. Maybe it’s different for guitar.?
Here’s their answer:
“Hello. That unit is working normally. We have
noticed that on certain notes, depending on the
effects used, can cause a doubling metallic effect to a slight loss of volume.
That is because the Debugger is used to filter
out certain frequencies and that note happens to
be emitting those frequencies in the harmonics.
Most players if they are going to use the Hum
Debugger work around the problem as needed.
Regards,”
I don’t quite see how I can work around the deep G – so I’ll be looking for another product. Any ideas as to hum debugging from other manufacturers?
greetings,
Mikkel
