Thank you for your assistance, I’m going to give this a try again , see if the harmonies come out of the amp and not just my voice. I’m thinking that perhaps it is my mic, it is not a phantom powered mic, i have an xlr adapter for it. Or maybe it is that i have an electric guitar, and maybe i’m suppose to hookup a pedal to my guitar to get that robotic sound, i’m not even sure any more.
I truely don’t believe it is a product-defect, but rather theres something i’m missing to make this work, in the case that it is a defect, i have a waranty for this, do you think the factory would take it back if theres an interional problem?
thank you again for all your help.
February 15, 2009 at 9:58 pm in reply to: Electro Harmonix VoiceBox Essential TROUBLE Hookup FAQ #93336Mickey256Memberwell unfortunately i cannot use the vocoder on it, i have tried with both my keyz and electric guitar , though no actually robotic like sounds come from this. But if you say the sounds from each amp are suppose to sound separate , i still cannot figure out how come the vocal amp will not produce sufficient sounds or vocoder-synth sounds when i sing through the mic. If anyone figures this out, it would save me the time of trying to sell off this product.

February 15, 2009 at 5:51 pm in reply to: Electro Harmonix VoiceBox Essential TROUBLE Hookup FAQ #93330Mickey256Memberi recieved this brand new, the only thing i did was test it out completely, the unit has no picture directions, i did follow the directions, hmm i noticed i’m not the only one that has problem with the set-up for the voice box, it is not particularly easy picture directions, i just think this voice box is meant for someone who is knowledgble in using this equipment. I am a bit disappointed but it is most likely because i have never had this kind of set-up before. Its a shame there are no videos for the hook-up, with two amps, or videos at all that explain exactly what you need to make this unit work. what is your suggestion?
here is my equipment: 2 amps 1 Xlr female adapter for 1/4, 1 male adapter to 1/4, 1 normal microphone, 2 audio guitar cords, a guitar, a keytar, a casio keyboard…believe me i tried this on multiple instruments.
thanks
