    yes i know that.

so does that mean because it’s not true bypass that the phased signal bleeds into my clean signal even when the pedal is not engaged??

will modding it for TB clear up the problem?

I have seen several references to “ducking” in these forums when talking about the Memory Boy (and/or delay pedals in general). Can someone enlighten me as to what this means? Thanks very much.

Ducking refers to when playing a delay pedal, as your real time notes are played, the delayed notes sort of “duck” under the real notes….they come out slightly quieter so that the whole sound doesnt get too muddy. Some people/manufacturers call this dynamic delay as well,

From the EHX webpage for the Knockout…if you look to the right there is a link for instructions:

LOW Knob -The LOW knob is a volume control for the low or bass frequencies. The further you turn the LOW knob clockwise, the louder the low frequencies will be. The LOW knob controls the output volume from the Knockout’s 7-Pole Low-Pass Filter. The low pass filter has a fixed cutoff frequency of 85 Hz. The LOW knob is responsible for contouring the bottom end in relation to the total sound.

DRY Knob – The DRY knob is a volume control for the signal present at the Input Jack. The output volume of the dry signal will increase as this knob is rotated clockwise. Use the DRY knob in conjunction with the LOW and HIGH knobs to create your tone.

HIGH Knob – The HIGH Knob is a volume control for the high or treble frequencies. The further you turn the HIGH knob clockwise, the louder the treble frequencies will be. The HIGH knob controls the output volume from the Knockout’s 6-Pole High-Pass Filter. The high pass filter has a fixed cutoff frequency of 6.5kHz. The HIGH knob is responsible for contouring the high end to the total sound.

so i have checked out demos on youtube and wow theres a lot of fuzz to listen to. my ears got tired after about 30 mins and everything sounded the same. but the pedal that kept grabbing my attention was the BMPWTW.

When David Weiner hits those chords on his demo, wow it sounds amazing. Im gonna go try one out this weekend.

and what about the original NYC muff pi and the russian muff pi? how would you describe their sounds next to one another.

and i am gonna try them all out, just trying to do my preliminary research.

what does the tone wicker offer that the regular muff doesnt?

and are the tone wicker and the big muff the same pedal essentially?

(i am a fan of the big boxes so if i can find what i want in the big box, i am going that route, but if not, XO will do)

and julian, so what you are telling me is i need a Muff with tone wicker AND a little big muff?

For what you described, the Micro POG would suite you perfectly. The main difference between the POG & microPOG are that the POG has not only an octave down & octave up, but 2 octaves up, detune (modulation) functions & a low pas filter.

But for just a convincing 12 string sound, the micro POG will do it for you.

yeah I have actually already looked at that site. that is what made me want to put in 12AU7s.

Has anyone put 12AT7 or 12AY7s in their wiggler?

So I got it!!! Very happy I did. I LOVE all the different Vibrato sounds.

And Fener&EHX4Ever;, i checked out a Q Tron. VERY cool…I liked all the possibilities. I wish the demos weren’t so cheesey funk stuff…you can get some pretty spaced out sounds…I think that will be next!

Oh ok…weird…EHx sure does some weird stuff.

Light on DMM is Bypass LED
Light on Q Tron is power indicator
    DEM has no light!

    Thank you EH Man!

Brilliant of course!! I use the middle position usually (both PUps) for a warmer, not too bright tone. I love it…beautiful sounding delay..really musical. Can’t say enough good stuff about it.
