I have a 2880. I don’t find the knobs flimsy or loose. They are small and plastic, though. Probably just what they have to use to fit.

Wait… you can bend an octave down on a HOG? I’ve owned it for a year and I didn’t know that!!! o.O

I think it would be cool if EHX sold kits, or collaborated with guitar companies for cool electronics in guitars.

Or, perhaps, a guitar that could use the technology in the HOG to change tunings at the touch of a button…

But that might work better as a sample, like the Line 6 Variax, than a built-in effect.

But Theramins, Synts, and whatnot… THAT would be cool.

An alternative to the Mini Moog.

Mine always sounded pretty clean. Especially when you’re dropping the tuning. :D

If you’re running it through a bunch of distortion, you may not even notice….

Maybe the switch is broken. I dunno how those things are constructed, but if it’s a new one, it should have a 3PDT switch, which is effectively 3 switches. The one for the LED might still be working, but something else isn’t.

That’s my best guess, since you aren’t getting a lot of weirdo noises.

Try it with no power as well. If it cuts off when you step on the switch, it may be something else.

Note: I’m not an engineer. Just sexy. And I know a little about electronics. But mostly just sexy.

    *edit*

Given the last post, I may be wrong about how it switches.

I think it would be cool if, when they shrink the pedals, they still used normal-sized components. We know it’s possible because of the clones on the market. It would keep us modders happy. :D

Also, I think it would be neat if they made shiney, but smaller housing. Granted, they wouldn’t be as tough, but given their size, there wouldn’t be much room for the enclosure to bend anyways.

ANYWAYS… enough of that “it would be cool if…” stuff.

    My real suggestions:

A real, analog Electric Mistress– perhaps in the bigger XO housing.

XO Memory Man… an analog one. With expression controlled “feedback”, maybe?!

    A nano true-bypass looper.

    Ermm… that’s all I got now.

I’m going acoustic for Christmas this year. Almost got a bunch of EHX gear, but I decided I’d fund that with a few guitar sales.

I have this problem with my Graphic Fuzz. I modded it (it popped before), so I can’t just have it repaired.

Will the fancy resistor trick work on it as well?

Most recent pic of my pedals. It’s usually not that messy, and there’s usually not a bass laying on top of them. Hehe. I don’t have a board because I’m constantly moving pedals around.

EHX gear (all there, but some you can’t see, I think):

    HOG w/ Foot Controller
2880 w/ Foot Controller (sits on top of amp)
    Germanium OD
    Graphic Fuzz
    Small Stone
    Q Tron

I ALWAYS have the Germanium OD and HOG (once I get around to having it repaired) in the chain.

Also, cool forum! Thanks for making it.

I’d be first in line for a real tape echo! I don’t even care if it has tubes. :)

A good, inexpensive reverse delay would be cool too. I know about the Hazarai Memory Man.. I mean something like the #1 Echo, but backwards.

… let the tube echo run backwards.

    Sorry… getting excited.
