McHavenModeratorBut with videos to compete with you awesome folks? :p
I’ve got some old videos with our old chick singer.
Maybe you guys can see this link: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/video/video.php?v=12196882548&oid=15289222029
McHavenModeratorDo not use a Boss power supply either. You want a 24v supply, available from Musician’s friend. If you search for electro harmonix you can find them.
McHavenModeratorDVD Decrypter is good.
McHavenModeratorYou can use a bass with any effect, its just a matter of how well it works. Plug anything you want with a 1/4″ output into any pedal.
McHavenModeratorGod I love trolls… Can’t wait to see where this goes, maybe I can exercise some admin power!
McHavenModeratorThe Peavey Classic amps are a great value and IMO underrated. They have a great sound, and all the volume you’ll need. And, its Peavey, meaning it will put up with tons of abuse for the rest of time.
2 things survive nuclear holocaust: Cockroaches and Peavey Amps.
McHavenModeratorNano clone has reversed polarity power, meaning it won’t work on a daisy chain. Besides that there’s a noticeable volume drop, and the chorus just doesn’t sound as good. I think its a product that really tarnishes the name of EHX, since its an affordable and modern-designed chorus. People go out and get it figuring its just like the Small Clone, then they could end up swearing off EHX.
McHavenModeratorAlmost all EHX effects work well with bass already. Here are a few to be afraid of with bass though: Dr Q, Knockout, Nano Clone, Deluxe Mistress (my opinion), Holy Grails, Metal Muff.
So try out some, don’t worry about bass specific pedals.
McHavenModeratorBig Muff into a Small Stone.Mmmm mmm.
Or Big Muff into POG.
McHavenModeratorQuote:I have a feeling it will be muddy on guitar though, thats why I havent bought one yet.
I’ll get one once I get a mustang bass though.Great bass. I’ve got a reissue in olympic white.

McHavenModeratorAfter looking it into some more, I think I’m going to be just ok with perfboard. My guitarist and I are going to try and gather all our parts and build one this weekend. If that goes to plan, he wants one as well. I’ve got an electronically inclined friend (he repairs all my pedals too), to help us out. Hurrah
McHavenModeratorThanks, I tried to register over there and even after following his special instructions, I’m not activated. I found software for me to put my layout together, but I don’t know what all the symbols. Anyone know a good key to that?
