McHavenModeratorQuote:Quote:LOL you love teh XO don’t ya! :rawk:
I do!! I really love the old boxes, but the XO’s are a godsend to me..I just don’t have the room to have loads of massive pedals everywhere…all my gear is in the corner of my small lounge, my partner is pretty easy going but there are limits to how far I can turn the family lounge into a studio!!!!
it’s either XO’s squashed into a pedal bag or I have less pedals!!!
Melx, you know you don’t have to tell us you like tea (your sig). You’re English! We know that already! :p
Hurrah Stereotypes lol
McHavenModeratorQuote:they are only about £35 here so that’s not bad….I paid £20 for mine ‘used’ they are bigger than you’d think too….here’s what I have in mine (10 pedals) as and as you can see I still have room for my XO graphic fuzz!Needs more EHX :p
McHavenModeratorMan, every time I see the old chasis pedals XO’ed, it makes me want my Polychorus and Micro Synth shrunk down. The XOs just look so damn cool.
Hey EHX, how about a bass graphic fuzz?
McHavenModeratorQuote:i’ll be adding an od and a TB loop for the space drum and bassballs
Man, I’ve got your old Fuzz Muff, and you’ve got what could be my old Android, haha. Great board, glad to see someone else with a Polychorus. I just get funny looks from people around here.
McHavenModeratorQuote:Quoting myself from another forum: “as best as I understand it, the XO DMM is only available in some non-US markets — and that’s because it was tweaked for European Union RoHS-compliance — so there isn’t an XO DMM in production for the US market. I have no information regarding when/whether a US XO DMM will become available. I totally wish I could be more specific, but that’s really the best I can do!”That’s the post I was thinking of.
McHavenModeratorI believe I brought this issue up in a thread earlier and Scott chimed in to note that there are none planned for sale in North America. I could be wrong, but that’s what I remember.
McHavenModeratorQuote:Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!Oh god, Futurama reference. You’re my new favorite member.
McHavenModeratorYour mustang has too many strings
/hides
McHavenModeratorQuote:Quote:I think the DEM sounds a lot more natural, but its huge and has its own power supply, so I stuck with the XO.Keep an eye out for a vintage 9v Electric Mistress. That would be your ticket if you want to go analog. I’m actually getting ready to sell mine on eBay because I already have 2 other vintage Mistresses. It sounds quite amazing though, and I’m reluctant to sell it; but I just bought a 90s Japanese Fender Mustang, so I have to let it go 😥
Gotta love mustangs
McHavenModeratorQuote:ooohwhat did you do to that fuzz face?
I got it in a trade awhile back. It’s actually a modified muff circuit, housed in a Fuzz Face. You can’t see the fuzz pot, since it doesn’t have a knob on it though. Sounds awesome, but I’m going to be getting it rehoused soon.
Quote:Quote:Here’s my current setup. The fuzz face has been San Francisco’d :thumb:
Sweet setup. I just got my Bass Micro Synthesizer in. What a great sounding box.
How are you liking your XO Mistress?
XO Mistress is pretty cool. Has a good flanger sound, but it seems to peak out my little crap dorm room amp. I think the DEM sounds a lot more natural, but its huge and has its own power supply, so I stuck with the XO.
McHavenModeratorHere’s my current setup.
McHavenModeratorQuote:That’s not enough Fuzz….. you need a Russian Muff in there to keep it in line from messing with the NYC Muff. The Cold War maybe over, but these rivals will continue to keep their front on the War To Fuzz Redemption….Each project calls for different fuzz distortions. Experiment and you may be surprise to find a tone you never thought of ever hearing. For under $90, The Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker is a lot of bang for your buck. Easy to use controls can dial up a myriad of fibely tuned distortions. Keep the peace with Big Muff Pi, Win the battle with Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker.
FUZZ
Good points, but I just saw the voice box. That’s definitely my next purchase from EHX. I’m sure I’ll check out the Tone Wicker some time though.
Also, just bought an older Micro Synth! Hurray!
McHavenModeratorQuote:The Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker is a great Distortion/Sustainer that will work on guitar, bass and keyboards. Rememebr, you can try any of the EHX Muffs with this combination. We already have a great Bass Big Muff Pi, but the Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker can sure add some serious coloring to your bass tone. Why not have two? You will have that classic Pi sound with more capabilities than before. You will indeed love this box as it is the gateway to complex distortion euphoria…. So Step On!FUZZ
So, I should have a NYC Big Muff, a BBM, an Electronix Mess Drive, a Modded Bigmuff, a fuzz face and a BMP Tone Wicker on my board? That’s a ton of fuzz, I’m not really sure if I could even convince myself to have that much fuzz, haha.
McHavenModeratorNow I must ask…how is it on bass? :p
McHavenModeratorHow about something like a Myspace music player on the product pages, with a playlist with all the files that include the product? May be too much flash for the new site, but just an idea.
