Your post described exactly the issue I am having with my Vincent SV236 !!!… music fades away, drops out etc. I replaced the two rear tubes as I had two spare given to me when I bought the amp (second hand). I thought that did the trick as I did not hear any drop out/fade away of the music for a few hours of playing and over a number of days. However, that was a false dawn and the problem persisted – I am assuming I needed to change the front tube as well.

Anyhow, if you did get an answer to your query or found a solution I would really appreciate it. I think the tubes in the amp are the JJ’s so not the best.

Separately, if you or someone else has a view on this it would also be appreciated. My Vincent is paired up to PMC FB1i speakers (Marantz CD10 front end) and these speakers can handle bass very well. Overall quite a warm sound, but sometimes I actually find it a little too warm and wondered if there were tubes that were good to offset this a little – I would hate though to go the other way and loose the warmth completely.
