That signal flow diagram was basically perfect, worked out it was a problem on the PA amplifier end of the chain! The Super Pulsar is working perfectly!

Just one quick question regarding switching to Clock-In mode: once you have set it is it saved? Or will bank presets default to NOT reading the clock if that’s how they were originally saved?? I basically want to ensure the pedal is ALWAYS reading the clock-in source.

    Cheers
    Matt

Hi there, a seperate query regarding the clock and how to operate it (or not in my case!):

I wanted to run the Super Pulsar from Ableton and thought a novel idea might be connecting the Clock In to a metronome output on my audio interface. I put a 50hz pulse into my metronome tone and it seems to work fine.

However there is definitely electricity somewhere in the circuit – there is no audible hum through any of the audio signal however when I go to unplug the jack from either my interface or the Pulsar, there is loud buzzing and/or pops coming through my PA…

Despite it working is there some reason electricty could be entering the signal or is it more likely to be a problem elsewhere in my setup, with my PA amplifier for instance??

    Any ideas?

If I understand you correctly when you connect the Super Pulsar to your audio interface you start to hear 50Hz hum through your PA? If you disconnect the audio interface from the Super Pulsar the 50Hz hum goes away? Is this correct?

No – I read that the Super Pulsar clock can read frequencies below 150Hz (I think??) so I’ve inserted a 50Hz pulse into my metronome – the logic being that I can’t hear it in my headphones when using the metronome myself, but that I could plug the Super Pulsar clock into the same headphone output and it be able to read the 50Hz pulse.

It seems to have worked but I think there’s electricity somewhere in my audio signal – I was wondering if there was any chance this could be connected to the Clock In source? Somehow electricity coming from my interface or something?!?! Or is the Clock In source entirely seperate and the electricity will be coming from elsewhere – an issue with my PA amplifier for instance?
