I like Boss’s dual pedal loop station. It’s the once pedal I like from them mostly due to the switching, which you have to rely more than most pedals if you overdub live a lot. Don’t mind the clicks on EHX pedals on anything else, but there’s a lot of nuance with a looper in a live setting that the EHX looper footpedal seems like it would disturb.

I’ll bet you can get a close approximation with the MB once you get the rhythms down. I doubt a Deluxe MB will get you there quicker (but thst expression pedal, mmmm).

I first tried it with a Boss delay and it worked for the early material, but I’ve been playing with a Memory Man and am bass-ackwardly finding Edge-like textures I couldn’t do with other delays.

I like the way the controls are laid out better on the new DMM more than the old one. The chorus/vibrato knob is supposed to be less prone to breaking (eventually) than the old switch, and I believe its sturdier.

I need the level knob on the DMM for extra control with a loop station. If I just needed a delay by itself or in a chain of effects I don’t know if I’d need more than the Memory Boy, but I’d have to try them side by side to be sure. Then again, I don’t have a single issue with the Memory Man and I plan on relying on it a lot in tandem with a Big Muff and the looper. It’s been nothing but beautiful to work with.

That’s what I thought at first too, hence the line of questioning. Everybody wants tap tempo now. Would like an expression pedal, but I’m pretty happy with the DMMXO. Figured I’d rather play with the new one in-store later.

I just noticed the DMMTT takes a 9-volt adapter while the DMMXO is 24-volt.

Hmmm. Wonder if that means the Deluxe Memory Man’s msrp will be dropping?

I found a retailer that announced a little more than $500, so that didn’t stop me from getting a DMM yesterday.
