what’s the difference?
mattcaseyMemberis there a difference between the little big muff pi and the little muff pi?
mattcaseyMemberthat’ll probably be stuff from their two full length studio albums — closer and unknown pleasures. if you get into them, don’t dispare, there’s tons of singles and b sides, and a 4 disc collection of most of that stuff called heart and soul (sounds kinda lame, but it’s awesome).
a little more “raw” is first band, warsaw. alright, i’m done preaching…hope you like it!
mattcaseyMemberi know what you’re saying. it’s not like the the larger enclosures make a different sound. just my preference. hope they don’t abandon them altogether.
mattcaseyMemberhmm…i don’t wanna go off on EHX since i love the product. i have the holier [edit: holiest] grail, micro synth, big muff, small stone, small clone, russian bassballs, russian small stone, octave multiplexer, english muff’n (all in their funky and bad ass enclosures), and …i have a germanium too. it’ll probably be the only XO box i get, though i’m tempted by the bass muff.
i’m converting to all ‘retro’ EHX with the exception of some homemade pedals. i might have to sell the germanium or put it in a new enclosure.

best.
band.
ever.if you get psycho obsessed with joy division, check out new order and happy mondays. buy make sure you’re dropping ecstasy, selling coke and dancing 24 hours a night at the hacienda.
never really listened to wire….i’m surprised…
mattcaseyMemberyea, i just hope they continue to do reissues of some vintage effects in their old enclosures.
mattcaseyMemberQuote:I gotta say, those are my favorite size/style……I think they look great.agreed….love all the sheet metal…xo is too generic
mattcaseyMemberis there somewhere that we can download the vector files of the ehx logo, ram’s head and pedal logos?

XO tuneri can see you’ve been thinking of this list for a long time!
germanium definitely needs something like a muff built into it to power that worn speaker sound without loosing the gain.
please introduce a tuner pedal. i need one bad, but want to hold out until EHX makes one.
also need to reissue the deluxe big muff, deluxe octave multiplexer, and bad stone…. maybe as an all in one pedal??
i’d like to also see a pedal known as “the sh!t” with the tons of knobs. it’d have to have big muff, small clone, small stone, electric mistress and holy grail knobs and switches. a version with three stereo memory man knobs, bass boost switch, filter matrix switch, and octave up switch would be awesome. all analog too…obviously
mattcaseyMemberQuote:… reverse reverbisn’t that the reverse gate on the holier grail with golden gate?
mattcaseyMemberQuote:Quote:Quote:Quote:This is probably in existence somewhere, but how about a multi-channel (track?) box that you can sample into, then based on pitch or frequency of note, assign different tones to that note? Or if it’s possible, somehow have the box be able to identify each individual string on the guitar and assign that way (but without needing a midi pickup)? Might as well ask for a coffee maker on that sucker as well, for all the fantasy I’m indulging in!Mmmm…coffee. If we can squeeze a bong in there I’m all over it.
Great idea! Maybe some slushy ice for the bong, could hold the individual half and half cups for the coffee in there as well.
And we can use the slushy ice for iced coffee as well, perfect for the hot summer stage. Since we have a bong and coffee, I guess we’ll need donuts too. This pedal will be BIG.
so you’re saying the bong water would double as water for the iced coffee? i can’t find one of these at the guitar store near me…guess i’ll start a head shop that sells EHX!
mattcaseyMemberQuote:Thusfar they have made their reputation on either making pedals weirder than everybody elseWell…except for the hum debugger?
I’ve been wanting an EHX tuner too. if it’s gotta be complex, why not add a switchblade channel selector/stereo output to it? a stereo out with sliders for dividing frequencies to different channels would be cool.
mattcaseyMemberQuote:I know what you mean! …I reckon that the muff unit in the DOMs I have is the Big Muff Pi, however I will see if someone can tell us precisely. I have enclosed a pic of one my two DOMs, both of which are this model which I think is the original vintage DOM.
Meanwhile, keep looking out for vintage Deluxe Octave Multiplexers. Of the two I have now, I bought one in the UK from a store closing sale, and one in Germany on eBay. They each cost over 200 Euro and this was a few years ago, so I expect prices to have gone up, at least on this model.never knew this existed….i’d kill to try it. seriously.
mattcaseyMemberits the stupid little things like actually REORDERING my pedals that i always forget i can do. putting the big muff after the small stone now.
EDIT: i do not like the sounds off that. i will always go muff TO stone, never the other way around.
