Sometimes, I do that error…
Sorry if that do not help.marclr17MemberHi,
Never have problems to introduce CF cards in my 2880. I have use several CF cards builders, and no problem.
Seems strange. Have you tryed to invert it ?marclr17MemberAs you receive your 2880 and try FCB/2880, could you please tell us how you programm the FCB1010 for the 2880, and what is the result ?
We are some people here (in a French Looper Forum) to want to do the same (buy a FCB1010) and cant wait for the result.
What function for the 2880 do you try to pilot with the FCB ?
o mute/unmu tracks ?
o start / stop / record / punch-in etc… ?
o direct select next track to record ?Marc
marclr17MemberHere is the midi implementation chart for the 2880 :
MIDI Control Change Messages:
The 2880 can respond to specific Control Change messages. The following lists all of the 2880 parameters and their
corresponding CC#.
CC# Data Range 2880 Parameter
9 0 to 127 Clix level
20 0 to 127 Dry Out slider
21 0 to 127 Track 1 play/feedback slider

111 127 Push PUNCH-IN button
112 127 Push QUANTIZE button
124 0 Change to OMNI=OFF
125 0 Change to OMNI=ON
Please Note:
• There must be at least 300mS between each button push message.
• At power up the 2880 will always be in OMNI=OFF mode. This means that it will only obey Control Change
messages on the selected channel. The 2880 can however be switched to OMNI=ON mode by receipt of the
appropriate command on its selected channel. In OMNI=ON mode 2880 will respond to CONTROL CHANGE
MESSAGES (except OMNI=OFF) on any channel.
• Moving a fader or knob after receiving a CC message will overwrite the last CC message with the last fader or
knob movement.
MIDI Program Change Messages:
The 2880 also interprets certain Program Change messages as button pushes and mute/unmute commands. In
addition to accessing every button on the 2880 with Program Change, we have also added more functions not
present on the face of the 2880, such as mute/unmute of the tracks and direct selection of a track. A program
change message has one information byte, P0 (0 to 127), but this is usually presented to the user as being 1 to 128,
shown below as P1.

** The single channel mute/unmute action works as follows: If the channel’s level is greater than zero when the
command is received then the channel will be muted. If the channel’s level is zero when the command is
received then the level will be set either to that of 2880’s panel fader or to that of the last CC message (20..24),
depending on which was the last received.
*** When a mute/unmute all-play-tracks command is received all play tracks will be muted if ANY of them is greater
than zero. If ALL of them are zero then each will be set to fader or CC level.marclr17MemberDear SYSTEM_ERROR_42,
I have a 2880 and have the same need to pilot with a midi foot controler. I think I’m going to buy a 1010 too.
Of course there is a implement chart.
It is on the new PDF manual here : https://www.ehx.com/assets/instructions/2880.pdf and check the new upgrade zip file, it contain the same + an other very important manual.EHX have made a very good job with the 2880 midi implementation : you can pilot ALL the functions, buttons, fader etc… with a midi pedal board, except the phone volume & the entry volume (analog knobs).
BUT YOU CAN PILOT MUCH MORE THAN WHAT IS ON THE 2880 FRONT PANEL !!! : mute / unmute of all tracks, pan of all, volume (with your FCB1010 expression pedal), track selection for next record etc…
THANKS EHX ! Really very good job !In my opinion, a midi foot controler is really needed for the 2880, and despite I have buy a 2880 foot controler too, I’m not sure it is the good choice : for the same price, you have a FCB1010 (here in France) to replace the EHX foot controler, with +10 boutons and 2 expression pedals…
Best regards from France,
Sorry for my poor English writing.
Marc
