    Is your problem fixed ?
Have you tried with another jack/jack cable ?

I don’t think there are midi problems on some 2880.
I rather think the devices you use does not send properly the midi messages the 2880 need to sync.
To be sure, you can try with other midi device sync with the 2880, like a MPC Akai. If it works with the MPC, the problem does not come from the 2800…
I use a workstation in midi sync with my 2880, and it works very well : tempo changing, midi position pointer… It’s a cool feature. But midi is not very easy, and sometimes some hardware does not send all midi sync messages by default.
Trying to sync your 2880 with another hardware, like a SP BOSS will show you if you’re 2880 is properly working or not.

    (Neurone, are you French ?)

You can use a midi foot controller, like the Behringer.
I use a Yamaha MFC with my 2880, and it works perfectly.
It is much more powerfull than the EHX foot controller for the 2880, because of the 2880 midi implementation, and less expensive. You can buy one used for 100€ in Europe (100$ in US?)

    Hi,

What was the problem on the massive 45000 pedal return ?
It seems to be a problem with the footswitch, holding the DOWN function ON, from the loop to the 0 loop, and then freezing. (whe are 2 to have this problem here)
Is it the same problem ?
    Thank you.

    What a pedal !
    What a sound !
Probably the best of my pedalboard, I love it.

Do you use CC or PC way to program your FCB ?
Do you notice there can be a +1 difference in PC or CC numbers, depending of the first number the controller start (0 or 1), maybe it is why it don’t works.

EHX have been doing a very good job for midi implementation on the 2880. It is probably the best feature of the 2880, this midi implementation.
Very good idea you have to use a midi controler, rather the EHX 2880 controler. (I use the two, midi controler is 100 times powerful.

    Hi,

I use a Yamaha MFC foot controller with my 2880, and soon with my all new 45000.
I have no problem, it works well, and very easy to program : 5 minutes max for basic features (as start/stop/record…), a little bit more for complex (track mute, solo, level control), but still easy.
Some other people here (many EHX looper user in France) use Berhinger FCB1010 and have no problem too.
You can read (with a French=>English translator) all our stuff here :

    Hope it helps,

    Thank you vanbeldt.

“With midi sync, this gadget and others like it has the potential to bridge the gap between techno musicians and guitarists. Saving up now!” is really my opinion too!…
