Thanks for the compliments. I’ve owned the Jolana since 1985, a gift given to me from my parents for my 12th birthday. As a kid growing up in Poland, there really wasn’t much of a choice in quality made electric guitars. USA made guitars were far out of my reach because of their expense and rarity. Out of all the Eastern European made guitars, I found the Jolana I acquired sufficiently well made, albeit quirky, but serviceable. I take it out on occasion for fun.
My favorite out of the whole lot, is my ES-335. Most people bust on Norlin era made guitars. My ’73 335 however is a superb guitar with a slim, sleek and sublimely comfortable neck that fits in my left hand like a glove. The patent number pickups sound terrific, especially the neck pickup which delivers all the right woody warmth and soft, jazzy vibes. The bridge pickup has all the raunch, compression, and soulfullness I could ever want from a 335. Even with a Bigsby, the guitar weighs in under 8lbs. I use this guitar for everything and it offers heaps of potential from just being a blues or jazz instrument. It happens to be my most versatile guitar.

I also have (not pictured) a 1978 Guild D25, 1975 Martin D18, Nash T52 Telecaster, and a Philippe Jean-Mairet handmade classical guitar.
My first guitar was a Czech made Jolana which I still have.
I feel like a complete guitar glutton.lususnaturaeMemberAll fixed! You guys are great! Thank you again!

lususnaturaeMemberThanks!
lususnaturaeMemberCan any owner of a blue DMM open theirs up so I can can see where this connects?
lususnaturaeMemberI actually like the nuances of the distortion better with the ’81 mod. Albeit, I am looking forward in trying your other mods in the future. Out of curiosity, I fried the resistor on the pedal using a 9 volt adapter. I am getting the correct 18 volt adapter any day. If I plugged the correct adapter in, will the unit function despite the fried resistor? Sorry for the stupid question.
lususnaturaeMemberOh wow, thank you for the additional support! I did write you an E Mail. I guess I know with absolute certainty as to where to send my pedal for repair. BTW, I love your’81 Hairpie mod with mid switch on my Big Muff.
lususnaturaeMemberAny suggestions as to where to take this for repair?
