you have to unscrew the nuts from the input and output jacks. prise off the big black effect level knob and then unscrew the small nut that mounts the pot to the enclosure. then you have to carefully jiggle the pcb out being careful not to damage anything. It’s all very tight in there and all jacks, pots, switches are soldered directly onto the pcb.

thanks! i had already done that but i thought there was something else to unscrew at it was so stuck in there…

The switch I posted above is confirmed to be working in a freeze pedal. The switch has to be a subminiture on-on-on switch. you can get it at mouser via link i posted. Good luck everyone.

hi Stressfx, just wanted to double check that this is definitely the best part? (does it fit directly on the pcb and a good fit for the hole? i want to avoid drilling).

I’m assuming yes, it’s just a bit of a pricey part and wanted to be sure.

    thanks

I did think it might be an on-off-on dpdt, as the switch is currently broken and the pedal still works but just in ‘slow’ mode. If the switch is broken and therefor ‘off’ that would suggest the middle position is off. Hence when the switch is off/disengaged it defaults to the ‘slow’ setting and the up and down ‘on’ switch positions engage the ‘fast’ and ‘latch’ circuits.

    Does that make sense?

Stupid question here sorry, but how do you put the pcb out of the metal box? even when everything is unscrewed the pcb seems stuck in there…

Hi,i’m trying to replace my broken toggle switch… how do you put the circuitry out of the metal box? Looks like it’s stuck into the metal case …
