damn, its been ages since i was last checking stuff out on this forum… nice boards you guys have… for those who dare venture to page 25 or something… my old board should be there somewhere… it has changed alot lately, due to a change in playing style and a new guitar… its really small atm butim expanding… for now… all i have is a synth mangler, big muff, phase 100, fl9 and a re-20…
LucasKinchMemberQuote:Quote:Devi is a supercool pedalgod… nice to talk to, replies to anything (unless shes busy)and then also, i have found that many of her fuzz pedals sound so sweet.
though i shortened down my board… so all i have from her is a synth mangler…
(ñ†nima, KF & TP) is on the shelf til i decide to do something with them.. i fear that i might regret selling them, but they dont work for me when im with the band… )
Yeah, it often happens with those weird and wonderful effects, you love the sound but just can’t fit it into what you’re doing. I’d keep if I were you, though. You never know when they’ll come in handy.
Kept the TP on board… The ñ†nima is still a maybe… but the Krackle is in my synth system now…
insane with a Kaossilator…LucasKinchMemberDevi is a supercool pedalgod… nice to talk to, replies to anything (unless shes busy)

LucasKinchMemberim trying to raise money for this thing ^^
LucasKinchMemberQuote:Not to gripe……. but I have a gripe: :doh:Isn’t the “poll” attached to this thread kind of pointless? Aren’t both single coils and Hb’ers great. I play through them both, depending on what the sound or style calls for. I have mutual love for both, not to mention guitars that have both and that get used equally. I guess it would be more realistic results if it had an added “both/either” or “depends” option. That would probably take most votes.
It’s about as telling as a “tits or a$$” poll……. Aren’t they both just great!
you sir, are absolutely right about this statement… except… the poll would be good as analog vs. digital and both
LucasKinchMemberQuote::thumb: any clips or vids?….I will give it a try (mine are reissue). thanksim currently working on a full demo for my board, im just afraid id have to keep it sound only…
LucasKinchMemberi dont play fenders, however i thought about getting a jaguar, but my SG is just to good sounding to replace, and i dont really have the economy to just, buy another
LucasKinchMemberQuote:Pedal Board – this is constantly changing, but currently from left to right top to bottom-Boss CE-2 Analog Chorus – I’ve tried them all and this is the best sounding chorus ever (so far). I do a mod on this pedal so that I can set the mix to 25% wet or 50% wet with the flip of a toggle switch.
Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive – I do a mod on this pedal to give it the same circuit as a TS808, but I leave Boss’ Assymetrical clipping intact. It’s pure TS808 overdrive but with more crunch and grit. I use it in conjunction with my modified TS9 to get a real hard rock Marshall tone.
ProCo Rat – Love the rat. Built like a tank. Sounds like a tank if you set the controls the right way.
Boss TU-2 Stage Tuner – Gettin’ in tune, right in tune, I’m in tune…
Danelectro Dan-Echo – This is the best sounding Delay pedal ever and it’s the only Danelectro pedal that’s worth a crap. It’s got a tone control for just the repeats so you can cut the treble to make it sound more like a tape echo. I like it so much I have two.
MXR Distortion + I do a mod on this pedal so that you can use it as a clean boost. Which is what I use it for.
Ibanez TS9 Tubescreamer – I do the standard TS808 Brown mod on this pedal and it sounds great. Much better than stock. Stock they sound like doo-doo. I can’t believe they charge $100 for them fresh out of the factory like that.
Ibanez CP-10 Compressor/Sustainer – Great sounding Compressor because it’s got a real gentle attack and great sustain. “You can go out and get a bite and come back and it’ll still be ringing.” I swapped out the ugly orange case with the sexy silver case from an Ibanez LA Metal pedal that I had. The sexy silver case was about all the LA Metal pedal was good for.
Vibrato On/Off Switch – I made this from parts that I bought at Radio Shack. Someday I’ll make a nice one that isn’t all plastic. Works great, but don’t stomp too hard or…..CRUNCH!
Dunlop Crybaby GCB95 – Haven’t got around to modifying this one. All in due time though.
Boss RC-2 Loop Station – This is the most complicated pedal I’ve ever owned. I’ve had it for close to 6 months and I’m just now figuring out how to make it do what I want it to do. I’ve cursed at this thing in so many different ways, no wonder it’s red.
Boss FS5U – There are two of these right next to the RC-2. They make the RC-2 do some stuff when you step on them. What they do I’m not sure, but they do something. I’ll figure it out eventually. Lord knows I hate to read the manual.
i like your, “seperate” loop board idea… im going to get a 2880 some day
LucasKinchMemberdreamhunter: indeed ^^
Julian: yeah, i like the matching enclousure and colortheme… the attack equalizers condition is really good, not a scratch on it ^^
LucasKinchMemberSo, here it goes.. its finished, but i have my HOAX at repair,
its supposed to be at the empty space in the upper left corner,
feel free to askLucasKinchMemberQuote:Hey guys,I’m new here at the EHX Forum. I have some Mods I’d like to share with you guys.
First simple mod I offer is the Micro Synth to Bass Micro Synth Conversion.
All mods include True Bypass w/LED monitor.
I adjusted the Octave Up section to sound more like the Tycho Brahe octave.
I adjust the Sub Octave section and included what I call an FA switch (Fat Arse)
I also adjust some off the levels of the voicing at their max settings. I felt the Square wave was too loud, Sub Octave was too quiet, the Octave Up was also too quiet.
But, the wickedest mod off all is the External Foot Control of the Stop Frequency parameter. I didn’t come up with this one myself, but I did implement it to perfection.
I use a stereo jack as an insert which allows a volume pedal to control the stop frequency real time. This allows you to have a Synth Wah. It sounds AMAZING!!! I will post a link to a youtube video as soon as I record it.
If anyone is interested please email me and/or reapond to this thread. See my profile for my email.
thanx,
shotgunn
hey Shotgunn,
could i possibly get detailed information on all of those mods?
