Looks like its been a long time since anyone has posted on this thread but I found a link that may interest anyone with this issue.

Lots of slide pots available on the site. I dont know if they have a $ minimum for shipping like that old old link above.
Im deterred from buying Graphic Fuzz or Pog 1s with broken sliders even thought the price is really decent.
It would be nice to find out if this is not such a tricky fix.
