It strongly suggests in the instructions that come with the unit to use the supplied power adaptor. It is also the general concensus on this forum that using the provided power adaptor is best for optimal playing conditions. If you got it in a trade you might not have the supplied power adaptor, it’s the standard ehx “replacement for Boss/Ibanez” adaptor.

That’s strange I’ve heard that if you use the supplied adaptor everything works fine. As far as the 1spot I’ve heard differing accounts of it working perfectly, but also it working a bit, like you said. I got a Memory Boy for Christmas but due to shipping it’s not here yet. I have a 1spopt as well, I’ll let you know what works for me.

Any help in this topic would be great! I also have a onespot and am receiving a Memory Boy for Christmas if Santa decides to stop by me house!

I myslelf am getting a Memory Boy because I like the extra features and I can afford the room on my pedalboard. But if you’re just gonna use it for a little slapback and you’re worried about pedal board real estate, then the Memory Toy should be fine.

But when did they switch to the round knobs? What date is this pedal from? He got it used from a music store.
