With an adapter in the AC socket your battery will be disconnected and thus not in use or draining
lerxst88MemberMaybe dont ream the screws down? Just get them in till they stop on their own and stop?
YES! 98% of pedals are using power from the battery while the input is plugged in whether the LED is lit or not. just unplug the input when youre not using it and your battery is going to last a LOT longer!
lerxst88MemberNo one can offer any help? Aren’t EHX employees on this board?
As cool as EHX’s pedals are I must say their customer service is very disappointing
lerxst88MemberThe signal pad is almost a criminally simple device. basically an extra volume knob. you can set it how you like it and then switch it in and out of your signal.
you CAN use it as a clean or distorted switcher for your amp but you can use it for a rythm tone and turn it off for a solo volume boost.
If its wired how I bet it is, you could plug the input or output into an expression pedal jack on another pedal and control it remotely. why? I dont know but then again I dont know why anyone buys the signal pad anyway when you could make one for $10 with parts from radio shack or…you know…lower the volume on the guitar.
Anyone else have some creative uses for the signal pad? aside from paper weight?
lerxst88MemberGreat job
lerxst88Memberare you sure your cable works? the guitar works?
Might seem kind of trivial to ask but hey…I’ve done it!
lerxst88Member…if they ever pick up or get back to you
lerxst88MemberTry radioshack in a pinch. Otherwise check out pedalpartsplus.com or small bear electronics. They’ll have it for sure.
lerxst88MemberMake sure youre using a good power supply or a fresh battery. If its been sitting in the cold for a long time that will shorten delay as well.
Also EHX (for some crazy reason) didnt allow the pedal to get the full amount of delay time without a cable plugged into the EXP jack. Dont ask me. Just try it.
lerxst88MemberI guess it’s nice that it takes up less space on a pedal board but I would rather have a pedal I could repair myself that is a bit bigger. Seriously is 1 cm asking too much?
SMD components suck to mod. It can be done (did it on my behringer muff copy!) but its a pain. Also I would think if youre gonna buy a pedal to mod it, check out Generalguitargadgets.com. They have a muff copy and you can build any variation you like! AND it’s cheaper than an EHX! AND it uses real parts! AND you can get the damn thing out of the enclosure!!!!
