It should definitely include some envelope functionality similar to the Pigtronix Tremvelope. It speeds up or intensifies according to your playing dyanmics. Either parameter can work inversely to dynamics. Also add a “defret” option, to put a quick attack ramp for a fretless sound.
yep i agree…..maybe ehx could make a nano ‘q-trem pulsar’…..that would be great
ha ha….right…well we need you to buy a more expensive, less full-featured, tap-tempo tremolo from a different company then…..lets get this ball rolling!
well, as it seems EHX listen to suggestions from the community and deliver the goods (ie. the freeze pedal) could i throw the idea of an analog pitch vibrato out there…..
something nano size with controls for speed and depth…..not a univibe clone, more of the music box, old record type pitch warble….nice and slow and warm.
it could be called the ‘music box’ or something like that.
thanks for all the replies…..it sounds like it might pretty useful for me then. i just need something simple that i can use with my expression pedal, and i only have a small board….so it should be perfect.
as far as the ‘freezer’ goes….you can already get these types of pedals (not buy ehx though )….i have a digital delay pedal that will hold your note/chord while you press the footswitch, and release it you take your foot off…and you can play over whatever note/chord is being held. its great and i use it all the time in my band, its like having keyboards or synth behind the guitar and really fills out the sound.
yeah the z.cat is a delay pedal…but i only really use it for the hold function (i use that and my riddle/pog wah to recreate my favourite HOG features ie. the filter and freeze functions)
the pollyanna is really cool. it sounds great with the clean signal to add some dirty fuzzy octaves for normal guitar work, and it is also really good as a nasty low synth…it can sound very pj harvey/radiohead/portishead-ish and very 70/80s electro funk….it just delivers that dirty glitchy analog punch in the gut!
