Well, it matters from the standpoint that I want to make sure that when I purchase New vs. Used, I am really getting what I paid for. That’s the only thing I’m trying to determine here.

Typically, on pedals from other manufacturers, there are FCC stickers and serial information and possibly other pertinent details. Seeing the outline of a what looks like 2 stickers on the die cast box and tacky adhesive on the bottom of the Big Muff made me wonder.

I’ve since been contacted and it’s been clarified from support for me so as far as I’m concerned, case closed.
