Awesome! I’ve always loved the bass pedals on those old organs.

justubertMemberQuote:Which model? Original, or XO? Knob settings will be a bit different.Try the SQSH / LED setting.
Keep the compression level below 12:00 if you want to maintain some natural attack.
The Pre-Gain and Post-Gain settings are going to be different for every rig. No real way to post standard settings of those. It depends on how hot your pickups are, or how much gain is coming into the White Finger.
A general rule of thumb for me is to set the Pre-Gain so that the light shows some dynamic range, from dim, to bright. You don’t want the light to be bright all the time, unless you like brick-wall limiting.
I usually set the Post-Gain so that there is unity volume between the bypassed signal and the effected signal when playing hard.
Hope that helps.
Thanks a lot. It helped quite a bit.
justubertMemberJust found a reissue on ebay. Thanks anyway.
justubertMemberQuote:Because everything’s going to the Nano size. Watch ebay for an reissue or I’ve got a vintage unit I’ll sell you at a decent price. What would you sell it for?
justubertMemberJust saw one on ebay for $295.
justubertMemberJust bought a White Finger. Finally, I have a good compressor!
justubertMemberI do want the Black Finger it’s just a little pricey for my budget right now.
justubertMemberIn line.
justubertMemberQuote:hey justubert, I’d suggest after he emails you, that you take your email address down. It’s probably not best to leave your email address up on a public site. That’s just asking for spambots to collect it.Thanks Julian. I’m new to the whole forum thing.
justubertMemberQuote:I have done both of these mods. Monte Allum’s has the Vintage Dynacomp mod which is absolutely amazing (www.monteallums.com). You can find the TS one on ebay, if you want I can email you the instructions/schematics for both mods when I get off work this afternoon. What model TS do you have? That would be great! I have the TS-9.
justubertMemberAre ya’ll talking about the MXR M-102 Dynacomp. What do you guys think of the Black Finger? And are all Compressors noisey?
justubertMemberQuote:Quote:Just wondering what order I should put these pedals in. Ibanez TS-9, Big Muff Pi, Boss Digital Delay, Q Tron +, LPB-1, Boss Compression, Dunlop CrybabyEveryone has a different opinion lol! The beauty of effect order.
I’d go:
Q Tron > Compressor > TS-9 > Wah > Muff > Delay > LPB-1
The reason why I put the wah where I do is so I have have pre or post overdriven wah. I use the LPB-1 on the end as a pure boost to add a touch of mids.
Also your TS-9 needs the 4558 chip in it or one similar. It’s not really a Tube Screamer till you do that. I’d also throw the Boss Compressor away or mod it. A vintage modded Dynacomp sounds way sweeter! Good luck, and remember it’s all in what YOU want and want YOUR tone to be! Google chain effect order or something similar to find a plethora of ideas.
Yeah, the Boss Compression/Sustainer is garbage. Its really loud. Thanks for the advice everyone.
