Someday I want to get a 2880 and a MOOG MP-201. It’s basically an expression pedal for 4 pedals at once, with LFOs and other cool stuff, while also being a Midi controller. So I could control anything via CC messages.

I’d be willing to think if the POG2 sounds any different, it will be just a tad cleaner sounding.

    awesome board tape

I’ve wanted to do a pedalboard with a grate like that, but I’d suppose mounting them would be hard. Although I guess you could just take off the back, put it behind the grate, and then screw them back in.

A “boy” with 600 milliseconds of memory?

That’s being optimistic. I’d be happy with 400.

Ghost, I’d totally rock your gear! I’d get a new board if I were you though, so I could fit all that awesome stuff!

    Nice collection Nightraven.

Can the Roland send program change commands? There’s a section in the 2880 manual about that.

I’m not sure about the pitch change on tempo change.

make sure you have the latest software and manual:

I’ve made stuff like that before, but it never sounded that good. I think his design was better though

You could just take it to a store and be like “I think thisneeds new tubes, can I try some?” And then plug it in and see if that makes a dif.

Well, there is a suboctave slider, I think it’s just labeled -1, so you don’t have to worry about that.

You bring up a very interesting point though, because on the POG and HOG the input gain/level slider allowed you to drive your signal a bit before it hit the octaves. I’d assume that EH simply optimized it so you don’t need to put the input level up on lower output guitars, and most likely did away with overloading. So if your POG had some bite to it, you might want to put a little bit of OD before your POG2.

BTW you can always use imageshack or photobucket or something like that for pictures, get the direct link to the image, and the put it in an img tag like this:

It wouldn’t hurt to throw a few different 12ax7s in there and see if it makes a difference.

“I wanted to see a movie that captured the essence of why people are so fanatic about the guitar. While there have been a lot of performance documentaries, this one is really about the relationship between these three men and their instruments. We tried to show what drives the artists, what got them passionate as players, what made them pick up the guitar in the first place.” – Thomas Tull, producer

I can’t say I’m too excited about the three icons in a room concept (not because of who they are, but because it seems very reality TV to me) but reading this quote gives me some hope about the movie.

The HOG is a tough one to place. Typically, I would place it at the very start of the FX chain. But it’s such a versatile pedal, it can be used in many different places. If you find yourself using the Freeze Volume a lot, for example, I would use both outputs so I could effect the dry output differently than the frozen output.

I need to figure out how to build a box so that I can switch between using it in parallel or in series.

You can post a gut shot of the pedal, no worries. I don’t think anyone will reverse engineer it just from a picture, because the picture doesn’t show how it’s programmed. :)
