how about tap-tempo and de-synchronized loops as well?
julianModeratorWhat really kills me about guitar filters, being someone who has a synth and knows what FX are possible, is that guitar filters DON’T TRACK. Therefor given any setting, there’s a certain range on the guitar that sounds best.
On a full range synth- this problem is even more apparent. (That’s why I love my tracking filter on my synth, although it’s ADSR and not envelope, though I don’t have an attack sensitive keyboard, so it doesn’t matter either way)
julianModeratorI’d try contacting Mesa Boogie for advice.
With FX loops in amps, there is no standard, and many can be a little finnicky.
julianModeratorI’m thinking the FX loop could be part of the problem.
Maybe it’s just me, but those all seem like Effects you’d want in your chain before your amp.
julianModeratorthat’s awesome
you’ll have to get a stereo cable and plug the expression out into the HOG’s expression in! I command you!

julianModeratorYes, of course. The PP2+ runs off of a mains cable.
julianModeratorThe 3 prong courtesy outlet is like a normal wall outlet, which is AC 120v. The purpose of it is for either plugging in an AC/DC or AC/AC adapter. You can power whatever pedals you have the appropriate adapter for in, DC or AC.

julianModeratorThe Q control you need to use in conjunction with the Low Pass Filter slider. The lower you set it, the more it calms down the upper frequencies.
I think one thing to keep in mind when playing chords is that complex chords tend to have dissonance. When you do that same chord at a higher pitch, the sound of any dissonant beats are going to be more intense. When you do it multi-octave, it can be very intense. In other words, some chords just don’t sound good polyphonic.
julianModeratorWell I’m not entering into the lottery right away. But I might get on the waiting list at some point.

I can’t tell how many ICs or which ICs are missing, but if the mn3005s are missing (which I suspect they may be) those you can’t get from mouser, because panasonic doesn’t make them anymore. You pretty much have to get them off of ebay.
That’s A LOT of work.
Source the parts
repopulate them on the board
then calibrateI bet that’s about 200-300 bucks in repairs. IF you can do it all yourself though, it shouldn’t be too bad.
julianModeratorthe thing that interests me is that it can be used as an expression pedal
and the art
