It’s cool Brad. you can post your youtube videos here.
Very cool video. The bass tone is very nice. You should make more videos like this.
julianModeratorI’d guess it’s a bad bypass switch

julianModeratorI’m sure there is.
julianModeratorTo the ground connection on a jack would work fine.
julianModeratorsorry. . .
I meant it’s new, didn’t mean it’s a reissue
julianModeratorIt’s a reissue.
EH didn’t make Qtrons in the 70s and 80s. Musitronics made Mutrons.
julianModeratorThe old one can’t be run off the one spot. The one spot converters just make it the appropriate plug, they don’t make it the proper voltage -_-
So you’ve got to use the adapter.
julianModeratordid you get one Chumley?
julianModeratorI haven’t played either yet, but feature wise the main difference is that the Enigma has attack, decay, start, and stop controls.
From the specs, the Enigma is a lot more versatile:
-Attack control- controls the speed of the up or down sweep from fast like the Qtron, to slow like a synth.
-Decay control- controls the speed at which the filter returns to normal after your note begins to decay
-Start and stop controls- control the exact range of your filter
-onboard distortion
-blend controljulianModeratoryou can run the 9.6v pedals off of 9v. You’ve just got to make sure they are getting enough current.
julianModeratorSwitch on my SMMH broke. I sent it in under warranty, I got it back quickly and I got back to rocking. I’m sure I could have replaced it myself, but then I would have broke the warranty.
Other stuff- when I used to email them, they got back to my emails pretty quickly and were informative.
I’ve also had good dealings with Danelectro’s customer service and Eminence’s customer service.

Freaking rad!
I’m going to get one sometime before the end of the year and then make weird noises with it.
julianModeratorYeah, you can use it as a whammy in “octave bend mode.” It won’t do 2 octave bends if you find those really important to you. I have a HOG and I really love the octave bend mode. You can use it with the voices, or you can just use it with the original octave- which gets the typical whammy type thing going. There’s also a dry slider, so you can do a wet/dry mix without needing an external blend knob, which is very useful. You can use it as a volume pedal in volume mode.
Also, another nice thing is that it runs on DC power instead of AC power. It draws a lot of current, so it shouldn’t be daisy chained with other pedals, but it should work well with power supplies with high current isolated 9v outputs, where with the whammy you need to still use a wall wart.
julianModeratorQuote:VERY NICE!!!! Lucky find, I’d say. Was that all straight signal through the amp or any drive from pedals? Does it do “cleans”? What a rare find ….. and the vibrato even works! No drive. That’s just the amp cranked.
If I pick lightly or turn down it cleans up.
