I think Scott (the webmaster here) is on vacation. He’s been MIA the last few weeks.
But yeah, they’re out. Fuzz (EHX staff member) and Flick (EHX staff member) have posted most of the specs in various threads here. There’s also an official EHX demo on youtube of it.
Here’s what I know
Memory Boy:
550ms of analog delay
runs on 9v standard
Inputs/outputs: In, Out, Expression In
Knobs: Delay Time, Blend, Depth (of modulation), Feedback
Switches: Modulation shape (square or sine), and modulation speed (slow, fast, expression controlled)
When modulation speed is set to slow or fast, the expression controls delay time instead
when the repeats are cranked it can self-oscillateMemory Toy
550 ms of delay
one switch to turn modulation on/off- speed and depth are preset for chorus sounds
knobs for delay time, blend, and feedback
***I don’t think the Toy is out yet, only the Boy.julianModeratorwell as long as you’re getting enough juice from a 9v supply you should be good. Other thing is that you can get an adapter tip for other power supplies from 1spot. The Holy Grail requires a C35 adapter from them.
julianModeratorprobably the memory card
a lot of people seem to have problems with those
julianModeratorhmmm I’d get a different power 9v supply
1spot maybe
julianModeratorAt some point I’m going to mod my Frequency Analyzer to be able to plug an external VCO in.
julianModeratorThat’s crazy. Two delays is almost too much for me.
julianModeratorYep, and in stores as well. I’ve yet to buy one, I sort of can’t spend money right now. My money is tied up in trying to start a small business.
julianModeratoryeah, that
julianModeratorHave you tried adjusting the sensitivity through the hole in the back?
julianModeratorman I really want one of those nanokontrols for using with ableton though.
julianModeratorhmmm you’re right. There’s gotta be a way to make it work with midi
Edit: I can’t find anything about doing that. Since you’ve can only edit the CC parameters with software I don’t think you can. That’s really kind of lame, but for 60 bucks, I guess you shouldn’t expect the moon.
julianModeratorno it’s cool
I’d love to get a CP-251 or a Moog MP-201.
You should make a youtube demo.
I’d really love to see it’s sample and hold setting with the HOG pitch bend setting
julianModeratorI’ve got eleven pedals on my board right now, and all of them are silent when bypassed. If everything’s bypassed, the only thing I hear is the slight hum of my amp.
Some observations- some pedals are noisy even when bypassed. I used to have some cheap pedals on my board- Danelectro and Arion type stuff. When I removed all of them, it made a HUGE difference.
Another thing- power supplies are very important. For awhile I was just going with a visual sound onespot (which was very quiet), but my SMMH, Frequency Analyzer, Polyphase and HOG couldn’t be used with a 1spot, and then my DT-10 started getting noisy with the onespot because it wasn’t getting enough amperage because I had too many pedals on it.
So I sold my Polyphase (because I wasn’t using it much) and bought a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+. It tidied up by board (no ugly/messy power strip) and allowed me to make my tiered board into a flat angled board (no need for a ton of space for a power strip anymore.) I was able to power everything except the Frequency Analyzer, but it has a courtesy outlet to plug a wall wart into, which is how I’ve got it set up right now.
julianModeratorThis is why some effects just shouldn’t be analog:

The only polyphonic pitch shifter ever made. It was prohibitively expensive too.
