If a pedal’s good enough, it’s always worth a work around.

I’m curious about the size. It’d be cool if these things are relatively small.

I don’t see anything for the foot to rotate on. It looks like the back part is floating. I wonder if it just sits there and you tilt the hole pedal with your foot.

Interested in the multi-FX, but the name & description sound sort of lame. Distortion, Chorus, & delay multi-effect sounds sort of yawny to me.

I have EHX’s twitter on Google Reader & a Google Reader app on my igoogle homepage. So when they post something. Good way to stay in the loop with latest postings and such. Although sometimes their twitter lags behind their main page.

I have my eyes on the analogizer but still…I don’t know much about it. I know it can warm a digital delay and be a good overdrive.
    But what about a HOG?
I would love to hear the analogizer hooked up to a HOG.

    I bet it sounds good.

It does, but I bet it never gets used. The customer support issues for something like that would be a nightmare.

I think all the digital EHX pedals should have USB connectors for firmware updates & midi for full control. . . actually, a better standard than midi needs to be made, with smaller jacks that works better.

A good thing to do when electronics get wet is to take them apart & put them in a 5 lb bag of rice for a couple days.

However, since it’s been a few months since then, it seems to me like that won’t be any help.

Could just be the pots are wet, but you should send it to EHX.

Scroll down, it says 25 bucks outside of warranty.

Also, maybe with proof of purchase they could still consider it under warranty? Email/call them & see what they can do.

Every time someone bumps this thread I get excited because I think someone’s found something.

As finicky as the cables on my pedalboard have been, I personally wouldn’t mind that.

Cheesedude- I remember reading an article where Mike was saying that they were working on a completely new analog effect. In things I’ve read about “magic” it never mentioned that though. Also, there’s been no solid connection between the superego & “magic.”

Could be all the same thing, or three different things. You’re probably right, it probably is the former, but I’m just saying.

Still no word yet, when there is, someone will make a thread about it I’m sure.

What would be the purpose of the wet/dry out?
And I’m not sure what “gliss” is.

Well you might want to have different effects on the wet & dry signals. Wet/dry outs would help this.

I’m not sure if the POG2 is 2.5mm or 2.1mm but here’s each one:

I think the center negative EHX stuff (like POG2) is 2.5mm & the center positive stuff is 2.1mm.

I’d urge you to be careful, I’m willing to bet you could damage your pedal if you do the plug wrong. Probably why tech support probably urged you just to buy a new power supply.

honestly, I’d recommend getting a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+. They’re expensive (about the cost of a pedal) but a really good investment, & if one of your plugs break, you only have to replace a cable that costs a couple bucks instead of a 10 dollar wall wart.

I used to use a Onespot & a 3 or 4 wall warts on a strip, but the PP2+ got me down to it + one wallwart (40v for my frequency analyzer.) It also got rid of all my noise that my pedals were making, because I was able to isolate their power from one another.

I think wet/dry outs along with independent wet/dry controls & gliss would be big improvements.

That’s certainly doable, & would be quite awesome. I think it’d be cool if it could switch between LPF & phaser.

Not that I know of, most every filter I can think of is an envelope follower rather than envelope triggered like the microsynth’s.

I don’t see why not. Sometimes I find running a darkish sounding overdrive on low gain warms up my HOG’s tone nicely.

A good tube amp helps to warm it up too :)

The HOG doesn’t cut out unless you set it to cut out (you can give the note volume attack or decay with the envelope control, if you set it to decay it will cut out, but on purpose)

There’s no auto filter sweep on the HOG like on the Microsynth but you can do a manual sweep with an expression pedal.

They’re pretty different pedals, but both cool. I’ve been really wanting a microsynth for awhile because there aren’t many pedals with a synth filter sweep like that.
