It would have been nice if the interviewer would have asked him that, wouldn’t it have been??
It’s hard to tell with them. A pedal seems to take about 6-10 months from the time we’ve initially heard about it. Unless we initially hear about it at NAMM, in which it takes 2-5 months.
This is just guessing by EHX’s history. I’ve really got no clue. Only they know where they are in the development process, and even they can be inaccurate.

I don’t think just using Ge trannies is going to magically make a muff circuit somehow sound like a FF.I could see the EHX Germanium Muff being half germanium too. Germanium transistors are expensive.
They could also put germanium clipping diodes in as well.

If you want a cleaner muff, I’d think one thing you could do would be adding a switch to bypass the clipping diodes.
julianModeratorIf the plug is the right size and the polarity is right. I want to say that the POG is reverse polarity and 2.1 mm, but I’m not 100% sure!
julianModeratorWhat expression pedal are you using?
julianModeratorWell there are some physics related problems to real time reverse. A pedal can’t know the future, how long you’re going to hold the note, how fast it is going to fade out, any vibrato you may add to the note as it dies.
The cathedral does reverse reverb which wouldn’t really help you, though it is a cool effect.
The POG2, HOG, and Microsynth have attack controls (volume swell) which sounds like reverse, but the swell time is preset, which doesn’t quite reflect true studio reverse.
The best option is to have a delay with a good reverse and just play your reverse parts ahead of time.
julianModeratorI got the PP2+ when Microsoft was doing the ebay cashback, so I got 25% back after 60 days. Otherwise I’d still be on a power strip!
EH should make a power supply, especially since they’ve got some weird voltages.
julianModeratorThe Voodoo Labs Pedal Power units cost 100-180 bucks, but are well worth it if you have a lot of powering needs

I haven’t played the POG2 to be able to compare the tracking/sound quality with the HOG, but from clips, they sound pretty similar. Just remember the HOG doesn’t have the detune feature. You can fake it with an expression pedal and step bend, but since there’s no combination of undetuned octaves and detuned octaves (only detuned octaves, matched against undetuned dry signal)
julianModeratorOh cool. I don’t think I’ll be ditching my Frequency Analyzer, but since I run parallel FX lines, it might be interesting to put the Frequency Analyzer in my fuzz line and get a ring thing and put it into the pitch shift/delay/modulation line
Any ETA on the manual being viewable?
BTW, I like the new video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZNV0VRLcG4
julianModeratorlooks awesome
julianModeratorThe screws on mine are painted, but I had no problem with them. The fourth screw on yours sounds suspicious.
With screws, always remember to have a ton of different screwdrivers. . . if it doesn’t come out easy, don’t try to force it, change screwdrivers and try again.
julianModeratorVery interesting, sounds pretty cool!
I’m curious. . . is the effect all digital or digital/analog hybrid?
julianModeratorglitching can be desirable for me
julianModeratorwhat will it do if I try to tune it to chords or arpeggios? Can I get it to glitch?
