In my opinion that stuff just means I’ve got to carry more stuff to gigs. Though I haven’t gigged in quite awhile, so I don’t know what I am bitching about.
julianModeratoronly the HOG can do that.
julianModeratorhaha I had a dream a year or two ago I met Mike Matthews and he showed me an XO Hog.

Of course they will still feel different.

julianModeratorIt can be very subtle. It never gets really dripping wet intense though, you can definitely hear it, especially with distortion. It’s good for the funk though.

July 6, 2010 at 6:25 pm in reply to: How to get a good “spaghetti western” sound? (Cathedral) #110024julianModeratorWell to me the quintessential is to have sort of a dirty surf sound. Like the Ventures decided to make their music slow and mean. A lot of those used danelectro baritone guitars too. A good 60sesque fuzz, the best reverb you can get, and some light tremolo and you’re good.
julianModeratorWell I’ve made a completely homebrew box that does this, as many others have done. I’m not sure if anyone’s ever done it specifically to the nano-switchblade.
julianModeratorI have the SMMH. I like it a lot. I still want the DMB though too. Besides the FX loop on the DMB, you also get tap-tempo ratios and expression pedal control, and full oscillation.
julianModeratorThrough experimentation, I’ve found the HOG can pitch shift notes lower than 20 hz. . . meaning to the point where you and I can’t even hear them.
julianModeratoryeah, it’s as simple as using an extra switch. Beware though that it won’t work the other way around (using A/B as inputs instead of outputs) without further modification.
julianModeratorI’ve been OBSESSED with Thinking Fellers Union Local 282.
