it works now
weird
before it kept telling me that it wasn’t a jpegjulianModeratorif and when I finally do I will
I’m liking my eminence 2×12 open back cab a lot more these days than I used to
julianModeratorI’ve used Sovtek 6l6s and EHX 12ax7s, but my experience with tubes is so lacking (I’ve had a tube amp for 2 years and I’ve gone through 3 sets of power tubes, 3 preamp tubes, and 2 phase inverter tubes.)
julianModeratorQuote:Good to have you here, Julian. It’s a bit quiet around here right now, but it will start to pick up little by little. Thanks for the invite.
Being the nerd I am, I can contribute quite a bit of useful stuff to the community, so expect a plethora of posts from me.

The Frequency Analyzer circuit basically runs on 15v AC, and you need at least 30v DC to achieve that. The 15v AC gives the FA it’s very very clean sound, which no other ring mod really achieves.
I’ll probably pick one up eventually, though I’d never get rid of my big box Frequency Analyzer. It is special to me.
julianModeratorI was having problems with the whole volume thing on looping, I couldn’t find a happy medium it seemed. So my solution was to use the stereo outputs of my clone theory to split the signal- one signal with no SMMH straight to my instrument channel, and one signal with the SMMH followed by a volume pedal, with all my presets set to 100% wet going into my bass channel. Not only has it allowed to me match the volume better, but to also get quite a different tone on the loop, separate from my normal tone. Also, the volume pedal adds some interesting opportunities. I can create some pretty crazy loops and bring them up appropriately during portions of songs where it works.
Soon I’m going to make a pedal to swap the locations of the SMMH and the volume pedal so I can do trails and stuff
julianModeratorI want to make a 4×10 loaded with 10c5s sometime for my Bassman 135.
julianModeratorI use a fender Bassman 135, but none of my guitars are Fenders. Actually I don’t know what brands some of my guitars are. Most of my stuff is done on my Hondo thru-neck. I love it. It just feels so right.
julianModeratorI can’t wait to get one.
I’m wondering how the tone on it in the normal big muff mode compares to the LBM. I’m going to be getting a Tone Wicker and a Bass Big Muff soon, and I’m wondering if they’ll cover enough ground to take my LBM off my gigging board (I’d still keep it though!)
