I think most BBDs create that kind of noise, and a lot of them are HPF’d out, but on the Clone theory it seems like there is a LPF so that it has a really bright sound. So I think that’d be why.
julianModeratorGC pulled the plug because of the exodus of users to here
julianModeratorfuzz just announced in the news section that they’re shipping next week!
julianModeratormine is hissy too, but it isn’t extremely noisy. It’s a little bit of background white noise. Doesn’t bother me. If you’re playing it before high gain stuff it will be louder though. If you have an FX loop, putting it in there reduces the noise supposedly. I don’t think it is that bad that it needs it. But whatever.
It’s analog Fender&EHXForever;.

I don’t feel spoiled though because I’ve yet to spend that gift card and the 200 bucks, and I’ve yet to receive those shoes in the mail.
julianModeratorI’ve always wanted to try running a DOD-250 and Big Muff in parallel. Those pedals seem to complement each other.
julianModeratorI think part of it is the general perception that fender amps just take pedal well
julianModeratorvoodoo labs says that it won’t power the HOG. Oh well.
julianModeratoryeah, I know what you mean
julianModeratorsome of those guys are pretty wacky, but Josh from Malekko and Brian from Subdecay are both pretty cool dudes in my opinion. Oh, and the guy from Copilot FX (Adam I believe his name is) is also a really cool dude. As is LetsGoCoyote!
julianModeratorwell that’s going to be for my frequency analyzer, and if I can’t power the HOG with it, It will have one of those 3 plug things in it so I can plug both in.
