Yeah, I was gonna say, “that’s a flanger dude”
julianModeratorI just want a compact looper that I never have to kneel down and adjust mid song
julianModeratorHow much extra sustain does it give you?
Does it hep even out tapping?
julianModeratorLittle Big Muff sound is between the NYC and Russian. Wasn’t supposed to be straight up NYC sound.
julianModeratorIt isn’t hum or a high pitched whine, so I’m fine with it. Plus you only notice it when you aren’t playing. And live, who really cares about that?
I’ve seen plenty of sweet bands that aren’t quiet when they stop playing, so it doesn’t both me much.
julianModeratoryeah
the HOG is awesomejulianModeratormaybe they use different methods for achieving trem sounds. . .
I have a lowpass filter that will do trem sounds if you set it right because you get to the point where it is quickly cycling between filtering everything out and filtering nothing out
julianModeratorthat’s what power supplies are for!
julianModeratorHow to add a Carrier Signal in to a frequency analyzer (he calls it a CV in, which is misleading, because CV ins usually refer to expression pedal ins, which this is not)

I’ve got a friend who like sto play a lot of western swing guitar style.
It certainly can do that CCR type sound though.I think I’m going to make my nephew a small board to go along with the guitar I’m getting him, and I might put it on it for him to play with.
julianModeratorit doesn’t seem to kill your volume like the Dano Tuna Melt.

won’t change my mindDecember 4, 2008 at 4:17 am in reply to: Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai tips, tricks, and clips #88378julianModeratorHere’s an interesting interview with Mike Matthews about the SMMH:
Quote:Quote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOUFhJwde5w300ms+mod from left to right 12, 12, 12, 7, 7.
Plus a whammy on Harmonizing mode 5th up 4th down i think?
and a touch of delay
Quote:i have a nice ambient/shimmer setting in the reverse mode:
blend:max
decay:max
filter:could be anywhere, set it for your taste
delay:half
fedback:halfQuote:Pseudo analog:11, fully off, 9, 10.5, 12, one sec echo

Quote:Here’s a video of me using the looping with the the SMMH. You can change the delay as you go. I started with a 330ms delay, then cut that in half, then removed it in successive loops.Quote:Multi-Tap 3 SecBlend – 2:00
Decay – 9:00
Filter – 12:00
Repeats – 12:00
Delay – minimumAnd now the pedal sounds like a “frozen” flanger
On this page someone did another Mod for their SMMH

Quote:Here’s a weird spacey, echoey, feedbackey, steel drum type sound. The filter can be set to your taste I guess. Works best with some OD and single coils.Blend: 1:00
Decay: 9:30’ish
Filter: 11:00
Repeats: 3:00’ish
Delay: 8:30
Hazarai: 1 sec echoYou might have to move it around a bit and find some sweet spots for your set-up. Sounds pretty cool with a whammy on the Harmony Oct dwn/Oct up setting.
Quote:Got my SMMH yesterday afternoon after pondering and debating and pondering
and debating and finally just got it.Here’s my first improv with it:

Quote:the basic setting i use for rhythm and lead parts might fit the bill.On the 300 mS + Mod Mode:
Blend 10:00 Decay 12:00 Filter 12:00 Repeats 12:00 Delay Cranked (or to taste)its a really nice sounding subtle delay with slight modulation. perfect for leads.
Quote:And that’s it, I compiled all the settings and clips and other tips from the old HCFX thread.
woot!
julianModeratorjulianModeratorYeah, I don’t think you can do any better for less than 100.
