it does look awesome in its big aluminum box
julianModeratorsimilar levels of excitement of me
julianModeratormy friends smoke
I buy guitar pedals
julianModeratorVery true. From what I’ve heard I think my Little Big Muff sounds better than the Swollen Pickle.
But at the same time there’s the part of me that would love to make a board with 10 different big muff variations on it.
julianModeratoryeah I was watching the Swollen Pickle Mk2 PGS video and I thought to myself “this doesn’t sound all that much like a muff to me, but it does sound pretty cool never the less”
Maybe after I get the Bass Big Muff and the Tone Wicker Muff, I’ll find a used MK2 somewhere
julianModeratorwill the wicker switch allow it to get as nasty sounding as the swollen pickle?
julianModeratorswitch could just be plain bad
if it is still under warranty you could send it to EHX plus 5 bucks to have them look at it
if it isn’t, you can still send it in, but it costs morejulianModeratorthat’d be interesting

julianModeratorI’d think EH wouldn’t really have any left overs, I’m sure they run a tight pretty efficient ship

I can think of a ton of possibilities with the MOOG MP-201
since you can send an LFO signal, you could do auto wah, tremolo, and vibrato automatically with that. . .
and it also has a sample + hold feature, which could yield some other very interesting effects with the HOG.Plus what’s really cool is you can adjust the sweep of the expression pedal so that it will sweep through steps
so you could tune each step to intervals- play a note, push the treadle down, and sweep through an arpeggio. And the other awesome advantage is that you can hook up 3 other pedals that use CV to it (you can do 4 CV or 3 CV and 1 midi I believe) and you can program what it does to each pedal specifically. . .
So you could have a sample and hold on your Polyphase that increases in intensity when you toe down while the HOG steps through different pitch shifts.
julianModeratordon’t forget Peter Hook used the Clone Theory on many of his basslines in Joy Division and New Order (if that wasn’t mentioned here already)
julianModeratorI don’t go to GC
last time I went there the only new EH stuff they had were metal muffs
and they just seemed far behind on all new productsI’ve only bought 4 things that I tried out first at PNS, and 3 of which I bought from PNS.
I think the old graphic fuzz was 40v and the new one is 9v. Not totally sure though.
