maybe an Electro-Harmonix by Fender guitar then Ned Flanders

although I’d have to disagree with your sentiment

    give me a thru-neck with a tune-o-matic any day over a fender

    !

I’m not too into guitars that lack a 3rd bridge (so jaguars and jazzies are cool with me)

Wow… I never noticed that before. You need to get outside and try some fresh air. How would you find that? Even if it’s right in front of you….lol.

    😆 you tell me.

What pedals haven’t you tried FUZZ?

I am afraid to say, the HOG and POG. I liked the Mocro Pog so much, I never tried the original. And also the Stereo Polyphase.

This place allows you to grab a box and run it through some old Sovtek Tube Amps. Remember the Migs?

The HOG and POG are wonderful. I love them.
The stereo polyphase’s slow envelope mode is really cool. Someone asking me about it made me break it out.

    I like the old boxes
but the new ones are just good for pedalboards

Cool man. You definitely made a good choice.

    Get the foot control.
I really wish my SMMH had a foot control for loops like the 2880 or 16SD. It’s limiting having to tweak while playing.

Well one thing that would be really cool would being able to somehow pitch shift frozen parts. Because it’s really fun to arpeggiate and sort of use the freeze to have an organ forming a bass line, but if I want to go into a heavier part from that, sometimes it isn’t ideal just to unfreeze and let the pitch shifter follow you. I’d sort of like to be able to take that frozen part to “11” with me if you sort of know what I mean.

Also maybe being able to choose the functions of the 2 secondary buttons. So that if I’m not using the expression button, I could use it to scroll through expression modes. If those switches had assignable functions it could really open up a lot of new possibilities. Perhaps one of the assignable functions could be a special option for different expression modes- turn on an LFO in addition to the expression, allow for pitch shifting of frozen parts, etc.

Other things- if there was a little flip switch above the envelope control to change between filter and volume, separate attack and decay controls, etc.

An FX loop would be cool as well

or a PWM expression mode even (if that’s even possible)

being able to choose whether a voice will be effected by the expression pedal or not, so you could pitch shift only one voice if wanted

Or even just a plain add on pedal for the HOG
    4 jacks
-expression in (plug your expression pedal into)
    -instrument in (for the envelope)
    -instrument out
-expression out (to plug into the HOG expression in)
3 modes: step sequencer, envelope (slow and fast like on the Polyphase), and LFO
when bypassed, you use your expression pedal as normal
when not bypassed, you can choose between having a step sequencer, your pick attack generated envelope, or an LFO being your expression pedal (and your expression pedal could maybe control speed or depth)
if a sequencer’s too much, maybe just a sample and hold or step LFO

What’d be cool is that it could be used with any other EHX pedal that uses an expression pedal

one ring mod for clean ring mod tones, one ring mod for dirty ring mod tones, and one for fun CV stuff?

    Shrug

not sure on the number of phases
but slow envelope mode will get you sort of what you’re talking about, it’s touch sensitive, but not super funky. It sounds very natural.
