Nice! All kinds of awesome stuff can be unlocked with external modulation.

That demo didn’t really do much for me though. It was just a couple seconds with a couple of chords and riffs and with cameraphone audio quality. Actually I think my phone records better audio.
julianModeratorthere is the Zcat Hold, but it’s 109 EU.
julianModeratorYeah, you need a voltage doubling cable. Just make sure you get the polarity correct. Voodoo Labs makes normal and reverse polarity doubler cables: http://www.voodoolab.com/cables.htm
Check your POG’s wall-wart. There should be a diagram showing the polarity:
Normal Polarity:
Reverse Polarity (center positive):
Make sure you have outputs 1 + 2 switched to 9v and not 12v and try it. If the POG does not function correctly, then there is too little current, and you should try outputs4 and 5, both on their default 9v modes. (outputs 1-4 and 7-8 give 100ma each, outputs 5 and 6 give 250ma each at 9v when set to the default 9v setting)
I did a quick google and I think that 200ma at 18v should be fine.
julianModeratorMy HOG handles that sort of stuff just fine. I don’t see why the Freeze wouldn’t.
julianModeratorI do this with a normal volume pedal.
I just run two parallel effects chains, and I have a volume pedal at the end of one. I’ve got a two channel amp with four inputs, so it works like a charm.

Too many blues licks, too much talking, and usually I can barely tell the difference between the similar pedals he does shoot outs with. He tries to set them all the same, instead of setting them for how each one sounds best.

Won’t that affect the sound?DC-DC conversion chips can give the voltage inside the unit any usable value, including 24V. SO it’s impossible to say what it’s truly running without taking it apart to see.
This is true. 9vs could be stepped up to a higher voltage, given enough current.

Remember, that’s the MSRP or Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price. The Street Price (price stores will put on it) will be about 25% less.
January 15, 2011 at 6:44 am in reply to: Electro-Harmonix unveils at NAMM 2011- visit us at Booth# 5396 #113773julianModeratorTake 25% off of MSRP to get the price it will really be.
I’d bet my first born that the DMMTT is digitally controlled analog, just like the DXMB
I’d also bet my first born that the nano Mistress is analog
January 14, 2011 at 4:03 pm in reply to: Electro-Harmonix unveils at NAMM 2011- visit us at Booth# 5396 #113742julianModeratorWell the chorus/vibrato switch just changed modulation rate, and since there’s a dedicated rate knob on the DMMTT, I guess it’s not really needed anymore.
I’m wondering what it’s going to cost.
Personally I’m GASing for the DMMTT, the DXMB, and the Malekko 919.
