I’d love to see the EHX factory. This reminds me of the time my friend went nuts and took at trip to the Tobasco factory in Louisiana… Now I understand.

Sweet, I cannot wait for this thing. It will be my first Muff.

    YOUR FIRST? :O

Let’s hope it won’t be your last. They’re great pedals. So far I’ve had three Russians going on my fourth this weeked… A little big muff and a triangle clone.

I’m sure it won’t be my last, I own lots of other EHX pedals but this will be my first foray into Muffery

    Beware, the muffs are addicting.

Great idea, especially for EHX product: is there anything better than the brand itself controlling those *overthestratosphere* prices we’re used to see on the bay?

That’s what I’m hoping will happen.

“increase “gainy-ness” of the unit” ??!!??

    that sounds like fun!!!!! :metal:

You guys and your insane gain desires, as if the Big Muff Pi needs more gain. C’mon, no matter how much Viagra you pump yourself with, your size still has a limit :poke:

    lol

good point. it doesn’t sound like a lot of gain to me. actually it sounds a little smoother. that’s why I do it.

Tele, SG and an agile eight string is what I run with EHX.

I was a little frustrated. I just traded my fuzz for a BMP, but I didn’t have the other guy’s address.. I couldn’t access my pm box until two hours ago.

I am a big fan of the russian. I can never say no to one.

I haven’t heard anything specific other than the “original muff”

I think it’s pretty cool idea. This place will be full of collectors. I know I’m always looking out for a cheap BMP and a polychorus.

It might be a good idea to add trader ratings.

Usually I’ll mess around with the big muff, do an emitter mod and change out the switch.

    What is the Emitter mod?

It’s one of the easiest muff mods to do.

“Emitter mod: The 2 gain stages of the Muff are tied to the groud by emitter resistors (R12 & R16). These are 390 ohms in Russian models and 100 ohms in NYC models (exact value can differ between models). Jumpering these resistors (replace resistors with a wire) will increase “gainy-ness” of the unit, enlarging em will reduce the “gainy-ness” of the unit. A potmeter can be used to control this value although I noticed I usually used only one setting.”

    :)

I can’t wait either. I bought another muff to mod in the mean time. I wish it would have come out a little earlier. that way I could have put it on the ole Christmas list. :D
