well, i already got rid of my microsynth, just not a big fan of it. it was defintily cool, but nothing i would ever use for. i feel that the HOG is more usable for the music i write, i may still keep the POG, or at least hold onto it until i see how i like the HOG!
Josh33MemberQuote:The only thing that the HOG can’t do that the POG2 can is the slightly detuned octaves mixed with normal octaves, which helps a lot in the organ sound.just wanted to say, that this thread has been very helpful! im in the same boat, i have a microsytnh and currently have a POG but am looking at getting a HOG to take the place of both. just a suggestion, about the detuned octave issue: you could also use some type of chorus pedal, and maybe drive the HOG. i dont have a HOG (yet) but judging by the way the POG reacts, im sure you could get some similar results! i love my POG, and the microsynth was cool, but the tracking was horrible, and i didnt find the pedal very usable in the type of music that i write. hopefully the HOG will be what i need!
Josh33Memberhey guys, just wanted to follow up on this thread. i tried using the dunlo powerbrick but it didnt work, the barrely plugs are not the same. i believe the POG used a short barrel and the dunlop adapters are long barrel and are a little bigger in size. oh well, i have a wall wart for it so, no big deal. just thought i would let people know for the future.
Josh33Memberyeah, the 500mA drawl is a little much, i have two power bricks though, so i can just rearrange some stuff and i think i will be fine. thanks for the reply!
