Thanks very much for your two replies.
I do not really have a problem with the actual echoes as my Alesis Q20 (Which Hank has actually used on tour at one time) and my Zoom G3 are programmed with EFTP by Charlie Hall and are spot on.
My problem is nailing the actual tone, I find my high notes are shrill, almost distorted and the lower ones muddy, I cannot achieve the clean “creamy” sound.
I have tried compressors, graphic equalisers et al but to no avail.
Sorry don’t have the where with all to attach a photo of my Strat.
It is a ’59 reissue Hank Marvin signature, fiesta red with 57/62 pickups, maple fret board and VML easy mute trem. I absolutely love it. If I could only nail “that sound” it would be perfect.
Cheers, Jim
No it does not have an effects loop.
I have tried most options and really only wondered if EHX had a pedal that would solve my problem but it would appear there is no easy solution.
Thanks for your help anyway
No I haven’t tried compression.
The sound is clean straight into the amp, it appears to be when through the echo.
I have several echoes and it is similar through all of them
Hi thanks for your reply.
I find the high strings are shrill and lower ones “muddy”
